  1. With Drew in the 6th hole, that speaks strongly to the weakness of the bottom third of order.
  2. Tanaka vs Lester Hopefully, we can produce some runs to give Lester a chance.
  3. Posted lineup does have him on the bench. WTF!
  4. Interesting read. Hand injuries can sap a hitters power permanently. Hopefully, that is not the case with Pedroia.
  5. I don't think he is breaking down. This is a prolonged slump. He needs to adjust to being pitched differently now that Ellsbury is gone. Even if he is seeing the same mix of pitches, the pattern of pitches may not be as predictable. He will figure it out. Hopefully, that will be soon.
  6. Ortiz is not seeing as many pitches to hit. The league has finally realized that he needs to be pitched around. Pedroia is the one that is killing the lineup. If Pedey was hitting Ortiz sees more pitches. Losing Ellsbury hurt both Pedroia and Ortiz. Ells OBP was pretty good and his base stealing ability resulted in Pedroia seeing fastball after fastball, and Pedey is a dead red hitter. I haven't researched it, but I think he is seeing less fastballs this season. Edit: I am not worried that Pedey's body is breaking down. He is still a great hitter, but this year he has to make a big adjustment this season to the way he is getting pitched. I think he will figure it out. Hopefully, that will happen before it is too late.
  7. This is one of the few things, maybe the only thing that has gotten me excited about the 2014Red Sox
  8. We are no sleeping bear. More like a dead dog.
  9. It didn't look like any RF could get to that ball either.
  10. Holt with another great play -- on a ball that looked like it was a play for the CFer.
  11. Tomorrow we get Tanaka. It will be a minor victory if we can score on him at all. Please Ben start pissing that pure excellence.
  12. It really is a disgrace.
  13. Our offense is so bad that Holt might ask to be traded. LOL!
  14. Costas is an insufferable bore.
  15. Not if the rookie can hit.
  16. Of all qualifiers in the AL, Bradley is dead last in OPS. This is more than a slow start.
  17. Bradley stinks again.
  18. Bradley is overmatched and will go down meekly.
  19. Drew gets a hit!!! Has the world stopped spinning?
  20. The Yankee announcers are asking what made Nuno successful tonight. The answer is pretty obvious.
  21. After walking Ortiz, Girardi goes right out to remove Nuno. He knows that we gave him a 6 inning gift. Now Betances will come in and blow us away for a couple of innings.
  22. 0 for 28 for Drew!!! Enough is enough! I would favor the Red Sox losing a draft pick as long as he signs somewhere else next season.
  23. We can't even make a loud out. Drew pops up weakly. Here comes Bradley and his punchless bat.
  24. Pathetic. Last week the Yankee announcers were discussing how Nuno might be skipped in the rotation and who might replace him. Tonight he is shutting us out in the 5th inning. During the week, we got beat by Erasmo Ramirez who the Mariners sent to the minors a day or two later. We can't even hit minor league trash. These are guys that we would normally pummel.
  25. RF is such a joke in this new stadium.
