  1. No. This was dirty. I don't know the tax rules in the DR, but this would be very questionable from a legal standpoint in the US. Edit: Whether we agree or disagree with the limitations put in place by MLB, the Red Sox method to circumvent those rules was dishonest behind the scenes, conspiratorial and maybe even illegal. I would drive BC to the airport to extradite him. LOL!!
  2. Whether it was new or not, it was a dirty deal. MLB should have been on top of it sooner.
  3. I was wondering about the ground rule on that -- there is the green part of the wall and the red part. It did look like it hit the red part at least once. Usually physics would dictate that when the ball hits the red portion that it would go into the stands. That ball was spinning like crazy and it did not. Now, that I know the ground rule, I think it was clearly the right call. There is no way that the ump could have seen that detail live, so we were very lucky that he did not call fan interference right away. The video evidence might not have been enough to overturn it.
  4. Give credit where it is due. It was kimmi mojo that it was called a ground rule double.
  5. Then it makes perfect sense why the Red Sox got slapped. They engaged in a violation and the other teams did not. Based on UN's description of the situation, it was pretty underhanded under the table stuff. They deserved to get slapped. I thought BC had more integrity. People can slice this any way they want, but the Red Sox did not technically meet the rules. The set in place a process where things were done to violate the limits. Someone in the FO needed to take a step back and say, "this just doesn't seem." They got all caught up thinking that they found some loophole that they could exploit. If they consulted a lawyer about this, they need new lawyers. I am retired now and available. UN could be DR counsel.
  6. I am trying to get the term boobery to catch on.
  7. We have until the end of the month. After that you can't make trades anyway. Baltimore will slump at some point. As long as the Red Sox don't completely nosedive.
  8. Then Ortiz will be gone, Pedey will be on fumes and we will still have no pitching. How many of our minor leaguers do you envision starting for the Red Sox in the next 2-3 years.
  9. Pitchers just yes pitching coaches to death. The major league pitches that I have met and talked to at length really had very little regard for the help provided to them by their MLB pitching coaches. Farrell has to know that this guy can't throw his bread and butter knuckleball when it rains. Idiot Willis tells him to throw his knuckleball in the pouring rain. Willis leaves the mound and Wright says to himself. I can't grip the kuckler in this weather. It is going to tumble out of my hand and come across the plate at 70 mph like a sitting duck. That is if I don't throw it to the backstop. The only chance is have is with the FB in a good location. Score 5-4. What Willis did was as helpful as going to the mound clapping his handsand saying lets get out of this when everyone in the ballpark and on TV knew that he should have been removed.
  10. It is a sure fire recipe for success.
  11. That the Cubbies are the Mets bitches.
  12. In the words of the immortal Teddy Ballgame, "Pitchers are the dumbest animals created by God."
  13. The kid who grabbed the ball should get an assist!
  14. We get the win and avoid any possibility of a sweep!!
  15. Could someone put Scioscia in a headlock.
  16. f***ing Kimbrel!
  17. If the fan doesn't grab that ball, would it have gone into the stands.
  18. Is that reviewable?
  19. My heart skipped a beat on that when Pujols posed after his swing.
  20. I don't have a great feeling about Kimbrel vs Trout.
  21. When Pedey is hot, this team soars, and he will get hot again.
  22. LOL!! Yes, were are. We need this game, because we don't want to get swept by a last place team, and we are sending 2 buckets of warm piss to the mound in the next 2 games.
  23. We are living on the edge this inning. Farrell's job is on the line, because any loss gets traced back to the 2 base running outs in the same inning.
  24. I just got excited. Guerrin just promo'd the Buchholz Family Bash. Unfortunately, we don't get to bash them.
