  1. This is a tough one to swallow. What the heck took Farrell so long to react. For crying out loud, what was he waiting for. I hang this loss around his neck.
  2. it interrupted his scheduled nap time
  3. His leg could be stiffening up from getting hit 1 innings ago. The pen should be pretty fresh. Is Farrell sleeping? He always waits too long.
  4. My knees would be knocking
  5. Benintendi to PH for Brentz. First MLB AB
  6. The last batter just tried to kill him. Luckiy he wasn't injured.
  7. Swihart was a big fave of SBF
  8. Price is a problem. The FO and management need to do something about him.
  9. They said that he will start on Wednesday. He will probably platoon with Brentz for the time being.
  10. Do you really care about that?
  11. If the rest of their offense wasn't horseshit, they could ride out his slump. He was 4 for 45 against lefties with 0 extra base hits. It looks as if he has started to figure it out.
  12. It is conjecture, but Clemens did transform his physique in the 1996 -97 offseason. I was stunned when I saw him at Fenway in '97. I was pissed, because I thought, "why weren't you in this kind of shape when we had you." Also, Canseco was on our '96 team. It is conjecture, or let's call it smoke, but where there is smoke ... and there is a lot of smoke.
  13. Jose Canseco
  14. I am not that concerned with the years of control. Do you think that is a big issue for the Red Sox?
  15. I think people will be surprised to see just how small Benintendi is. I always can't remember why Greenwell's career ended so abruptly at age 32-33. He was still producing fairly well offensively.
  16. We should beat this LeBlanc guy like a Pinata. Hopefully, we break our pattern of making pitchers like this look like Koufax.
  17. I am just happy that they have raised the white flag. I am not worried about them be good in 4-5 years. I will just enjoy them being hot garbage for the next couple of seasons.
  18. Conforto was a big contributor to the Mets 2015 World Series team. I wouldn't say that his promotion backfired. The kid came out smoking in his first season. This year he got bit by the Sophomore Slump -- pitchers adjusted to him, he didn't make adjustments and he fell into some bad habits. He went to the minors and is back.
  19. He is supposed to bury those pitches. It is the catcher's job to keep it in front of him.
  20. I don't think anyone did what he is doing even with PEDs.
  21. Leon almost botched that inning. He let a strike three get by requiring a 4 out save, and he boxed another pitch crossing up the ump on what should have been a third strike. All's well that ends well.
  22. True, but it was not a chronic condition and it healed even though it took some time. His skills didnt decline. There was no diminishment of bat speed. It is similar to the situation with Pedroia's hands. Now that he is completely healed, it us obvious that his skills are not in decline.
  23. He's coming up tomorrow, which is faster than people had expected.
