  1. SFF, great run. Tomorrow we clinch!!
  2. Clippard is celebrating like his team is still in the hunt for something. Unfortunately, he couldn't come up big when it really counted in last year's World Series for the Mets.
  3. I am worried about every post season game, but it is better than having a hot stove thread in August.
  4. Farrell should get Price out of the game. Too many hits.
  5. That was a pop out short of the track in Fenway.
  6. Right Field in Yankee Stadium is a joke. The Yankees specialize in 1st and 2nd row home runs.
  7. Hill finally does something.
  8. He has had 2 good seasons out of 9 seasons, with the most recent being 6 years ago. I don't consider that type of performance to be realistic going forward. He has a career .790 OPS at age 29 -- nothing that great.
  9. And he can gain all of the weight back in season. Pete, you give a lot of good Boston restaurant recommendations on TalkSox. You should probably hold back on that in case he is lurking.
  10. If Pablo returns to form, big deal. He was never that good.
  11. Earth to Mad Max, Kimmi made a simple joke about Wright and Pinch Running and you reignited the whole argument with your post in this thread (#40). If you don't want to read about the Wright pinch running fiasco, stop bringing it up, and good God, try to be a little more accurate, cohesive, and pleasant in your posting. The Red Sox are about to clinch the Division, and you are like an angry mad man.
  12. I grew up with the NY Daily News, but ithas been nothing more than a tabloid rag for more than 20 years.
  13. And 1 busted belt buckle.
  14. Farrell for manager of the Year!!!!
  15. Other relievers were available as was Sandy Leon.
  16. If by "the Return of Pablo" you mean that he will retire to his homeland, I think that is more likely than him starting at 3B for the Sox.
  17. Not too bad.
  18. I am shocked that the 2 powerhouses of the league -- Mookie and Moises Mooses were eliminated in back to back weeks. iortiz obliterated my team in the first round 10-0. I might have put up a more respectable showing if I had Strasburg and deGrom available, but I was still going to lose. My surprise was that iortiz throttled Moises Mooses (MVP) almost as badly (9-1). MVP's team was much better than mine, and he only lost 1 game all season. Thunder had the best record in the league last year when I took him down. He is no doubt still disappointed about how he finished off last season. Can he seal the deal this time around? UN is pulling for Thunder. I am pulling for my buddy, iortiz. Good luck to both teams!!
  19. I just heard about this. Holy crap. What a tragedy. It just leaves you speechless
  20. Good to see you.!!! Good luck. Your teams are always tough for me to beat. This time you just wiped me out.
  21. Makes me happy!
  22. I am not opposed to it. I just don't need it. As with all stats, when they back up my opinion, they are useful. When they diverge from my opinion, their accuracy comes into question.
  23. I love progress. I am always living in the moment and planning for the future.
  24. No, I do not. It was the greatest season tht I have seen in my lifetime. I did not need WAR to tell me how great his 1967 season was. The WAR numbers just back up my opinion. I didn't need it, and I have no idea about the accuracy of that measure.
