  1. None and Jones is a jackass.
  2. They are done.
  3. His resurgence has been remarkable this season. He looked like he was cooked at the end with us. He is having the best season of his career.
  4. Good point. We should draft better MDs
  5. True, but EE has played a lot more games at Fenway. More important than his spray chart is his performance at Fenway.
  6. I agree with you on both counts.
  7. Yes, he has been more alert and made better decisions in the last couple of weeks in this regard with a few hiccups. No one can be perfect in this regard. If you have to go to the pen a lot, some of the guys that you bring in will have a bad night and s*** on themselves. A manager shouldn't get blame for that unless he brings in a known bed shitter in a high leverage situation. Farrell had a bad string where he was leaving in starters and relievers too long when they were obviously unraveling. He has been better at it in the last couple of weeks.
  8. Love that Dirty Water!!
  9. That's it. 4 batters up 4 k's!! It doesn't get better than that. Stick a fork in the Yankee season. That was the final nail in the coffin.
  10. Kimbrel has annihilated the 3 batters that he has faced so far. One more to go.
  11. Kimbrel for 4 outs. You have to go to your horse here.
  12. Severino is one of those rare pitchers that can throw 100 mph and still manage to be a pig.
  13. Perdoia is one of the biggest reasons for the success of this team.
  14. This is one start. He kept us in the game.
  15. Price has won 7 starts in a row. He was due to have a clunker.
  16. Gardner is always a thorn in our side.
  17. We should be pummeling this kid.
  18. Announcers on National broadcasts bore me.
  19. Hanley catches the popup for the 3rd out.
  20. You really hold onto a grudge.
  21. His last start could be signaling fatigue, or it could just be one of those things. The pitching coach needs to figure that out.
  22. I have heard that too and the people that I have heard say it are former pitchers. And a pitcher can tell if a baseball is off in even the slightest way. If pitchers are saying the balls are wrapped tighter, that is gospel as far as i am concerned. One night watching an out of market game, I hear an announcer/former pitcher (can't remember his name) talk about this, and he also talked about opening the ball to see see the construction. He thinks that the baseballs are definitely different this year.
  23. I think they needed a sweep. Three out of four would have kept them on a respirator, but now they are dead with regard to the Division and on life support for the WC. If they lose one of the next 2, you can put a fork in them for the WC too.
  24. LOL!! He can be obsessed with me as much as he wants, but if his obsession is to disagree with me, he will have to get used to being wrong. The main gripe that I have with posters who are fixated on criticizing someone's point of view is that they think they can predict how others will react to situations. That imo is idiocy. I don't know about you Pete, but my opinions are often not predictable even to me. They put words in people's mouths which is annoying and in Mad Max's case he often mischaractizes what others say or just plain gets it wrong. So, Max, start directing your anger at umpires, players, management, or the FO, and if you want to be angry with other posters go on a political message board with the other angry people.
