  1. Hanley got moved to a position that he was incapable of playing. He needed to get back into the IF and learn a new position. Donut Boy can no longer play his position, is obese, and there is no other position for him.
  2. Isn't Price easier to type than "our $30M starter"? His salary rally bothers you -- class envy?
  3. Good presence of mind by Hanley getting back to the bag after deflecting that ball.
  4. I thought Bradley got enough of that ball.
  5. And I thought I was special.
  6. Okay. He sucks. Take him out and shoot him. His second half was worse than his first half, and the middle was just unspeakable.
  7. I guess people expected to run the table until the end of the season.
  8. Where is Price in the second half on the lists that Sox n Cycles mentioned? Lists comparing him to other pitchers, not stats comparing him to himself. I am guessing that you didn't have trouble understanding that, but chose to ignore it.
  9. None of those measures were referenced in Sox N Cycles post. He was talking about comparative measures to other pitchers. To refresh your recollection since your scroll up feature apparently doesn't work, this is what he was looking at and I am asking how Price looks in the second half using these measures.
  10. How do his numbers stack up in the second half? Don't deflect.
  11. We watched the game last night, so I though your question was rhetorical. I didn't realize that you didn't know the answer.
  12. The guy has not had enough competition to get ready. I would not even trust him in the field.
  13. U.N. don't mess this up. I was hoping that MVP would make this thread. Nothing against you, but he has the better record. If you fail, MVP gets the ball tomorrow.
  14. How do his numbers stack up in the second half. Luckily for us that the playoffs happen in the second half.
  15. Keep up the good work.
  16. That is because he walked more hitters as he was trying to harnass his increasing velocity. All of his other numbers were better. And the following year, he tore through and dominated 3 levels of the minors.
  17. Good plan.
  18. I didn't say that the number of hits were impressive, jackass.
  19. Let's get back the A Ball pitcher who had a 4.50 ERA over the full season, because he has a high season. Comparisons to Pedro were extreme puffery. Pedro never got cuffed around in the low minors like that. The trade is done. let's hope that Pomeranz stays healthy. He looks like he will fill out the bottom of the rotation nicely.
  20. They bitch and moan about Price but he gave the Red Sox what they needed this season. Primarily he took the ball for every start and went deep into most of his starts giving the team a chance to win most of his starts. That is something that we have not had a lot of in recent years. He may not have accumulated ace numbers this year, but he has been solid throughout the year, and he can still strike out batters at a very high rate so I have no doubt that he will return to his career norms. As for Porcello, I always thought that he was a bottom of the rotation pitcher which was not meant as a knock on him, because he takes the ball and eats lots of innings. I thought his ceiling was as a #3, so his extraordinary performance this year has been a very pleasant surprise for me. The hate for Price has been so stupid. If Porcello had had Price's 2016 in 2015, we would have all been thrilled. There is no reason to hate on Price. He has been excellent in the second half.
