    It is just my opinion, but pulling a big bat like Ortiz out of a lineup that he anchored for so long will have a big negative impact on run production unless they replace the bat.

    I go down to Spring Training every year beginning in 2004. I am not sure about my dates yet as my brother is having health issues and is unable to travel. I will keep you in mind. Thanks.

    Agreed. Our OF is set. We need a DH, 3B and bullpen. Another top starter would be nice and would put this team into serious Championship contention.

    I think we need a big bat to replace Ortiz. Our pitching and defense is not good enough without a top offense. I am skeptical about Beltran being the answer. He is up there in age and very creaky. Wear and tear have caused him to have off seasons two of the last three years.

    I don't think we will see many prolonged slumps from him. I think we will see an increase in XBH's from him too.

    I know many stupid people with very high character. I am not sure if you are among them. Character refers especially to a person's moral qualities, ethical standards, principles, etc. If I called them stupid, that would be insulting but not an attack on their character. If I said that someone had no taste in clothes, was a bad singer, was bad at math etc. those would be insults, but none would be an attack on their character. It is amazing that you can't understand the difference, which is probably explains why you can't understand that I was going for sarcasm when I explained and clarified my intent in earlier posts. Now, buzz off and go be miserable in your projecting/predicting bad fan reaction to Benintendi slumps.You are wasting my time.

    Oh, f*** off. I never wished death on addicted people . Read the thread again. I was being sarcastic. You are being a dick. Did you predict that? Edit: Also, the fat slob thing was meant as insult to his appearance and performance. It was not an attack on his character. Every insult is not an attack on character. The fact that I think you are too stupid to make that distinction is an insult not an attack on your character. I hope that finally clears things up for you.

    I wouldn't waste my time predicting or projecting that stuff. If it happens, it happens, and if it makes you happy good for you.

    Projecting ignorance is the same as projecting misery. My mother used to call it borrowing trouble. You don't know if or when any of it will happen or who will do it, but you already have it happening. Like I said, I have enough problems dealing with unpleasantness and troubles when they happen. I don't look forward to them coming, especially when I am not sure that they will come.

    I can't understand people that project misery. When misery comes I deal with it. I can do the gloom and doom thing. Edit: And it is really strange to project the misery of others. But if it makes you happy. .. Different strokes.
