We are dead offensively. Our only legit offensive threat is Betts, and he bats lead off. We have Bogaerts and Pedroia who are singles hitters, an the rest flat out stink. Without Hanley in the lineup, the lineup is pathetic.
Bad play by AB letting the slow footed Molina stretch to a double, but a terrible play by the veteran (and supposed Gold Glover) Moreland. This guy is not a Gold Glove caliber first baseman.
I realize that you just don't add the RBI's and Runs and take the difference. Even the number you put forth are almost 60 runs and I don't think that takes into account the dynamics of losing Ortiz and the cascading effects.
As for Hanley, he had his best year in a long time and it was his first full season in 5 years. He has 2 bad shoulders. Regression by him is fairly likely.
