  1. If he could bunt, we would have had a run, but no, we got nothing.
  2. He sucks. Can't make contact against a bag of s*** like Miley to get a runner in from 3rd base with less than 2 outs.
  3. Can Hanley drive in some runs here? Oh, RBI is just a random stat.
  4. We need to warm up MVP in the bullpen for the Yankee series.
  5. Our lineup is pathetic. Do we have any regular with an OPS over .800? Pathetic.
  6. Not if your name is Porcello.
  7. Here is my proposal. Since I attended the 2 Cardinal games and the first Yankee game (three of the best games of the season), the Red Sox have s*** the bed big time. I think I should set up a Go Fund Me page so that I can attend the rest of the season and the post season to bring my unique "at the game" mojo.
  8. So major league teams don't wear their iconic uniforms on the following weekends 1. Memorial Day 2. Mother's Day 3. Father's Day 4. 4th of July 5. Player's Weekend 6. Labor Day That is just about one quarter of the weekends of the season. Due to free agency, it is hard for the fans to identify with the players as part of their communities. We are left to root for the laundry, and now more and more we can't even root for the laundry as they keep trotting out these hideous outfits. If Chris Sale throws a perfect game or a no-hitter, I am not going to buy the poster if he is wearing one of these garish softball uni's.
  9. Tom Carron on the Orioles' uniforms: "I wouldn't wear anything that ugly to go hunting."
  10. Hanley has been having a lot of trouble with upper echelon fast balls. He was completely overpowered and destroyed by Chapman that night Devers hit the HR. He has had reported tightness in his side. That can't be helping things. He just has not gotten into a groove like he did last year in the second half and time is running out.
  11. Who wants to look at these clown outfits? They will never make enough sales of this garbage to recover the cost of designing an producing these uniforms.
  12. What is the significance of these goofy uniforms?
  13. Stay safe. If the power to your home gets reduced, you may have to abandon boldface type.
  14. I had shut off the game before Moreland came into pitch. It is funny, pathetic and not unexpected that Farrell did not know the rule when the DH takes the field.
  15. There jerseys around baseball ranged from garish to hideously ugly. I get the nicknames on the Jerseys, but why the hideous uniforms that made every team look like a softball team or clowns?
  16. I hope you get through the storm safely.
  17. It comes with the territory, but you know that you can manage better than Farrell. LOL!
  18. I wouldn't disagree too energetically with this as most managers suck. I would still put Farrell only in the average category.
  19. But who will speak Papiamento with Xander?
  20. Durability is the one unanswered issue about him. Other than that, I don't think I have overstated what he has done this season. When I saw him in Spring Training this year, I was quite concerned that lots of hitters were hitting him hard, and when the season started, I was concerned that he had Dice K diseases with high pitch counts, but he has compiled a very solid season -- far better than the season that the reigning Cy Young winner is having. Porcello is the guy who scares the crap out of me when he takes the mound. He made an error last night in the first inning, but couldn't work out of trouble or limit the damage. That has happened far too frequently this season that Porcello has blown up.
  21. How about a stat for players that never live up to potential like "Ain't What he was Cracked Up to Be" or AWHWCUTB or "Potential Unfulfilled" or PUFF.
  22. Pom has shown a better ability to get out of trouble than anyone on the staff. Sale rarely gets in trouble. Pomeranz can start off an inning with 2nd and 3rd and no one out and get out of it unscathed orwith just 1 run. He almost never blows up. He can put guys away with the strike out. He can throw a DP ball when needed. This guy is better than anyone thought he would be, and I thought he was good. He has matched up against some top starters on other teams this year and come out on top.
  23. Oh, I think we have been misunderstanding each other. I had been talking about David Wright's (Mets)injury history and you thought I was referring to Steven Wright (Red Sox pitcher). Sorry for the misunderstanding.
  24. He really looked unspectacular. He had good skills, but nothing flashy. He was extremely consistent, and each season you realized that he had put up some excellent numbers, and he was a pretty good base runner too.
