Someone had him in the minors and wasn't promoting him. He opted out of the minor league deal and was a FA when we signed him. That is my recollection.
  2. a700hitter
Tanaka is keeping the ball low.
  3. a700hitter
You are picking on his hair now, Gramps?
  4. a700hitter
Betts is just not the same guy as last year.
  5. a700hitter
You seem to be on your game -- as cranky as ever! LOL!
  6. a700hitter
Pomeranz carved up Judge in that AB.
  7. a700hitter
If we play the Guardians, i would have no problem rolling Fister out to the mound, but I don't think Farrell will send him out ahead of Pomeranz unless he really falters down the stretch.

Pom gets the big out. His pitch count is high and we will probably need pen for 4 innings. Hopefully, we can sole Tanaka who is looking good today. The day game start is bothering him.
  9. a700hitter
Devers didn't realize who was running.

What the hell are Headly's numbers against us this year?
  11. a700hitter
Headly hits us like he is Ted Williams.
  12. a700hitter
Tanaka has been very tough so far. We are hitting little dribblers.
  13. a700hitter
The stupid running is has not been limited to him. Hanley has done more than his share and Bradley has pulled several rocks too, and others. Responsibility lies at the doorstep of the coaches and Farrell.
  14. a700hitter
He won her over with his cappuccinos.

But Benny Boy does make a mean Latte, and the coffee is always fresh and hot.

Tanaka has been awful in day games this season. Let's hope that that continues.

I was watching the Cardinal game the other night and Tim McCarver was talking about the speed of the Red Sox. He thinks that our base running is a big asset. He mentioned that we ran wild in the 2 games against the Cardinals. He is a National League guy and he was gushing about our team speed. I never thought I would hear that.

We can't sit our top HR guy. He has been having a lousy season and he is still our top HR guy. He has to play everyday.
  19. a700hitter
That is a very interesting stat.

What do I do with the extra hour?
  21. a700hitter
LOL!! I never want to quit. I just enjoy the addiction. Too bad for my wife.

He's going to the pen. Let's hope Reed is good tonight. Fister was dominating. I would have let him go 1 more inning because he was masterful
  23. a700hitter
Pedroia is Johnny on the spot. I would send Fister out for one more inning and the hand it to Kimbrel.
  24. a700hitter
Ump starting to squeeze the one a bit.
  25. a700hitter
Reed and Kimbrel in the pen tonight. I guess that he will try to get one more inning from Fister.
