  1. Nats are saying that they will part with neither of them.
  2. Nats are reported to be pursuing Reamulto. I want the Red Sox to get him. I am trying to send my thoughts to Dave.
  3. Figure skating hasn’t been the same since Tonya Harding.
  4. Brewers are on the way toward the cliff!
  5. I wasn't slamming this group. I was slamming Beckham.
  6. If the pile is garbage.
  7. Upgrade the pitcher, but Morrison is not enough of an upgrade.
  8. I am running for some anti-anxiety meds.
  9. I wonder if we will see any 1 year signings.
  10. I hope that is the case, because it would lower the cost of a much deeper FA class of premium hitters.
  11. I am not on the JD bandwagon. I am more and more convinced that DD should make a deal with O’s DD for Machado for 2018 and then the 2019 FA class will be stocked with Machado, Harper and other. Will Donaldson be in that class and Blackmon? I’d rather have one of those guys long term.
  12. If that $125 million offer gets pulled, he will want to kill Boras.
  13. Sammy Davis Jr. used to remind me of my Uncle Sonny. When I would say that, no one barked at me that Uncle Sonny couldn't sing or dance, never mind the more obvious physical difference. Most people asked me how Sammy reminded me of Uncle Sonny. I get what you are saying. Once in a while we should be able to just express an opinion without it being challenged as wrong.
  14. The Giants are reportedly still in the market for a CFer as they plan on playing McCutchen in RF.
  15. Red was not known for his friendly demeanor, but he was some coach. A guy that I used to work with saw Red at the NIT at the old Madison Square Garden (a really long time ago— Current Garden dates from 1967). He said “Hey Red, can I ask you a question?” Red responded “f*** off”. LOL! He was crushed, because he idolized Red.
  16. i remember him. He played with Cowan’s, Hindi and Silas. He was an excellent guard, who didn’t get the recognition that he deserved because there were a number of flashy guards during that period. The knicks had Walt “Clyde” Frazier and Earl “the Pearl” Monroe.
  17. LOL! Or maybe he caught a case of Ben’s paralysis by analysis. Or maybe Larry L is secretly pulling the strings behind the scenes.
  18. I have been in awe at each step in his development. He turns 16 at the end of this month and over the last 2 years he has been taking giant strides. He is a sophomore and has committed to UConn because the coach told him that he would start him. He might have been able to get into a better program, but schools like Vanderbilt (dream programs) would not make any guarantees for playing time. I think his Dad feels that the most important thing is playing time for a college program while attending as many showcases as possible like the one in Arizona and the upcoming showcase in the DR in February.
  19. Not everyone can pull it off. Most teams just stay in the losing column after several years of continual rebuilding. It should not be the new blueprint for success. The Astros were very lucky to squeak by The Yankees.
  20. The Pirates are committing themselves to a youth movement where they build a strong farm and condemn their fans to another 15 years of sub-.500 ball.
  21. LOL! Does the donkey have air conditioning?
  22. Put me in the status quo camp if the choice is Logan Morrison. I just don't see him bringing much to the table as an upgrade. I'd rather look at Arrieta or Darvish.
  23. He is committed to UConn, but if the day comes that he gets drafted, I would keep my fingers crossed that the Red Sox draft him. It's all a very very long shot at this point, but it is cool that he is playing against and alongside the likes of Kumar Rocker, Marquis Grissom's, and Jerry Manual's kids. Last year when he was in the DR, he faced our kid Flores a couple of times-- k'd him swinging and got him to hit into a DP.
