  1. Very slow reaction on the ball down the line. Very slow first step.
  2. Cora seemed to want the heat. He told DD that he would take care of the clubhouse. DD did not want the heat, I guess. What is the problem with Cora taking accountability if it was his idea?
  3. Naked eye, he looked safe. That would have been a HR in any ballpark.
  4. What were the results of Pedroia’s tests?
  5. Devers did not charge that ball at all. Anyone in the lineup other than VMart is running down the RF line by the time Moreland catches it.
  6. A 700 At the game mojo. LOL
  7. You missed my point.
  8. True, but they are allowed here. It isn’t a safe space from Yankee fans.
  9. In summary, it was a dick move by Pedroia, regardless of any lameness by Farrell etc. It should have been handled in private like the clubhouse handled the situation with Pedey. There is no other side on this.
  10. The Yankees are crying like girls. No insult to girls. Just a figure of speech. The girls and women in my family are tough as nails. Boss Steinbrenner would have reveled in being the National game, and never would have cried about it, especially since his players were the highest paid in baseball. Wusses.
  11. Part of the fun is you trolling and getting called on it. I am constantly surprised at Red Sox fans being surprised that a Yankee fan becomes obnoxious when the Yankees are really good. I attribute that to the fact that they live in cocoons and have no day to day contact with Yankee fans. Wait until we are over the cliff, they Yankee fans will be brutal. Toughen up Red Sox fans.
  12. My niece is a teacher at American Heritage, but Casas is at a different campus. My niece usually knows about the top athletes at the school. She knew about the kid India who went to the Reds, but she didn’t know Casas. If he was such a big deal, I would think that word of his fame would have spread to the DelRay campus.
  13. If someone without Pedey’s stature in the locker room had done what he had done, he would have had a big problem in the clubhouse. He is Pedey, and they are familiar with his act (which at times he acts like a dick), so they swept it away. But it was unquestionably the wrong thing to do.
  14. Whether Farrell bungled the retaliation or not, there is no other side to Oefroia’s guck move. None. Not even a debatable issue, and I love Pedey.
  15. uncharacteristic unambiguous accountability from Kimmi. I disagree with your interpretation of the situation, but I applaud the firm stance assigning fault.
  16. But who has to pick up Hanley’s option. This remains unsettled.
  17. Has he been announced as the starter?
  18. There is no other interpretation of Pedroia’s “It’s them. it’s not me” moment. He threw his entire team and manager under the bus. The announcers and NESN commentators were surprised by it and they wondered how it played in the clubhouse. No one stepped up to defend him from the players to the coaches and manager. That speaks volumes. It stayed “in house” meaning they were unhappy with Pedey and chose not to go public with it. It was a major dick move and to pretend otherwise, because there is no signed affidavit or other incontrovertible proof is venturing into idiocy. Add to that, Butterfield’s clear allusion to the fact that Pedey gets more latitude than others means it was viewed as a mistake by Pedroia.
  19. Agreed, and those who demand a definitive statement from a teammate or coach will never get one. The closest that we will ever get will be a reaction like Butterfield's where he didn't unequivocally deny that there was a negative clubhouse reaction and alluded otherwise. Common sense and human nature would dictate that his teammates were pissed off at him. We don't need smoking gun proof.
  20. That sounds like fun. Luckily, Swihart is fast to chase them down.
  21. Even if he were a buddy of Butterfield, it doesn't follow that he would throw Pedroia under the bus. I don't recall any bad blood between Farrell and Pedroia. Also, the question related to how his actions were received in the clubhouse, not by Farrell.
  22. Never feel sorry for them. And that sideways glance is not for other Yankee fans. It is for everyone.
  23. It is easier to do that if you don't live among Yankee fans and live in a Red Sox cocoon. I don't.
