  1. it is the good thing about being retired. I don’t give a s***. I don’t care if I get ostracized from clubs, organizations or other groups in polite society. I have no desire to belong to any group think organization and polite society can kiss my ass. My checks come every month. If someone wants to try to ruin me over something I post, go ahead and try. Make my day. I’ll sue you in my free time (acting as my own attorney) and make your life miserable just for kicks. And when you have to give me a check in settlement or because you lose the case, I will wave it in your face. I don’t lose cases. Retirement can be very liberating, especially after a long career of having to watch every word. I do feel for the younger people who get sucked into the Internet thinking it is a place for the free exchange of ideas without repercussion. It is a minefield where words and thoughts can be misconstrued and used as weapons against you. It is a place where a mob can be quickly whipped up to denounce you with hopes of ruining you based on nothing more than a smear, and most people don’t have the tools to fight back. It is fraught with peril.
  2. I think he was mayor of his city for 1 term, and probably could have stayed major for much longer. It is pretty cool to have Clint Eastwood as your mayor. He has never been big in National politics or taken up big political causes. I haven’t seen him at rallies etc. He got involved in his local community politics for a short period. That should be the way all celebrities should get involved in politics instead of the celebrities who want to tell everyone else how to live.
  3. Was his costar Shirley Jones?
  4. Lancaster was my Dad's favorite. Like Lancaster my dad was a gymnast.
  5. I hope that the game goes to extra innings and the managers run out of pitchers.
  6. It is close. McQueen would beat him in a car race, but Clint's takes shits that are bigger than McQueen. Clint is a big fella and McQueen was a little guy. Speaking of Mitch, Robert Mitchum should be on the list.
  7. Nothing you would think would surprise me if you don't think Clint Eastwood is cool,
  8. You are a sick individual.
  9. James Dean was a confused brooding pretty boy. Clint Eastwood is cooler than everyone on the list.
  10. And rotate Nunez and Holt among the IF positions and LF. People will freak out about moving Mookie to 2B. I don't think it is such a bad idea. Second base is his natural position, and with the Utley rule, the injury danger on the double play turn has been greatly reduced. I think it could be argued that it would be our strongest offensive lineup and best defensive alignment.
  11. I love malapropisms.
  12. This is true. An LOL! can be very helpful sometimes.
  13. It would be a once in lifetime occurrence for all of them to keep up their pace.
  14. They are pretty poorly run. It's anyone's guess what they will do.
  15. Most of the misunderstanding is do to the reader’s filter/bias... you know the lying eyes stuff.
  16. The unifying power of humor.
  17. And sometimes I am not trying to be funny! LOL!
  18. I don’t think it is that even.
  19. Does Price have a hunting trip planned?
  20. Who hasn’t had a morning like that?
  21. Me too, and Harper deserved to get choked out.
  22. Fair enough. It might facilitate the process if you don’t read my posts through a hate filter.
  23. And I am much funnier in person.
  24. A sense of humor can be unifying characteristic.
  25. You clearly have led a clean and sheltered life.
