I would think they have to move him to AAA soon, and if he can similarly dominate at AAA his stay will be very short.

He will probably be back in time for the second Yankee series, he'll probably shut them down.

The Rocket will not take less from any team including Houston. While the Red Sox would not outbid the Yankees for him on straight up dollars, I think the creativity of this management team would top the value offered by the Yankees by tapping into other sources of revenue for the Rocket, e.g., Marketing campaigns etc.

He hasn't had a lot of ABs, but he does have one homer and 3 double. Against Willie Harris, the outfielders pinch all the way in, because he has no power. -
It's an excellent idea to keep the defenses honest, and he has show a proficiency for doing doing it.

Tavarez would need to step it up first and show that he can be reliable. Foulke has looked better and better every time out, and I think Timlin will be solid. Can't move Papelbon to the rotation unless there are three solid guys in the bullpen.

Pitchers that have taken one off the melon have acknowledged that it has affected their delivery. Pettitte said he had trouble finishing his pitches after he had taken one off the schonozola. I am not saying that Clement would not have sucked in the second half, but the head-ringer didn't help. To his credit, Clement never used it as an excuse. So a pussy he is not.

Not always. You never would hear me say it about Schilling or Beckett. They have a good record for getting better as a game goes along, but with regard to the others, call me Captain Hook. I don't trust the 3,4, or 5 guys, unless Wells can come back strong.

They only need a good 6 from Clement. With an off day tomorrow, they can empty the pen. I would pull him after 6 even if he is going good. He seems to deteriorate in the last third of games.

The every day seasoning could have waited another couple of weeks until Coco gets back. In the meantime, Stern would be getting every other day seasoning at the ML level. -

His kids are basically grown-- teeagers and college student. Do you really think they need Daddy around? He was so serious about playing near home last year that he was willing to accept only $!8 million-- the most of any pitcher in history. I have said it dozens of times on these boards. Roger will follow the money, and that is in Boston. They will pony up the dough, and there will be enormous marketing opportunities for a farewell tour at the Fens.
