I guess Farnsworth will come in in the 8th.

I guess Joe hands him the ball and says: "Just keep him in the park." Good work if you can get it. If that is the attitude of the Yanks and their fans, why not just issue the IBB every time he bats.

The Yankees must be very glad that they are paying Myers $2+ million/year to get Ortiz out.

I don't know if this comment is more stupid than arrogant.

The last playoff spot is irrelevant?

Where were you in the wild card standings?

Damon's first hit against his old team. And Terry comes out to remove the minor leaguer. What was he thinking about bringing in that stooge!

You guys left the thread way before you were down by 11. Just a bunch of front-runners.

What next from Terry... Seanez?

I wasn't on the game thread last night, but I read it when I came home. It was pretty funny to see the Yankee fans desert the thread half way through the game like rats from a sinking ship.

Now, he is going for the AAA guy? What is up with that?

OMG I can't believe that he is letting Harris bat. Terry must be asleep on the bench.

We need some offense. Harris has to take a seat on the bench.

The big man just love to hit Yankee pitching.

I can't stand that this garbage Willie Harris is in the lineup against the Yankees.

4 Wins 34 Runs 8 Hrs Total 46

He's been very good in the field this season. There have been no-Manny moments.

Why in the world would Moose give Lowell anything to hit with Willie Harris on-deck? and AGon in the hole?

Why does he play garbage like Harris in a Yankee series?

My money is onTrot having a big year.

Winning makes their job fun, but I can assure you that the job and career come first. Realistically, at the beginning of every season, less than half the teams have any shot at playoffs, never mind a championship. So, what are the more than 400 players that have no shot at the post season playing for? The answer is the same for all players: It is the money. I guess it is just a coincidence that so many players seem to put up better numbers in a contract year. The Yankees need to look no further than Pavano and Wright as examples. I am sure coaching staffs, team doctors, and trainers have numerous stories about players who will not push themselves in the early years of a contract so as not to cause a career threatening injury in the early years of a contract. You can call it ridiculous like you are some authority or mind reader, but it is as valid as any other theory or explanation for the improved performance. Granted, it is only a theory that cannot be proved, but it cannot be disproved either. Trot's also in his last year and he is putting up very good numbers. Am I saying that he faked injuries the last couple of years. No, I am not, but my money is on Trot having a big year, because he really needs to put up some good numbers before he hits the market. A theory is not ridiculous just because you disagree.

That is not going to happen. First of all, Koby has been converted to 3B. Second, he is in only A Ball hitting .186. He is not coming to the ML this year to satisfy a whim of the Rocket. It's one thing letting the Rocket stay home for Road Trips. Arguably, he has earned that right. His son has not earned the right to be promoted to the ML club, and management would just not do it. It's going to come down to the best financial package and best business opportunity for the Rocket, pure and simple.

Maybe he trained the Giambino.

As last year proved, the head-to-head record can have additional meaning.

MDC will get his time. Maybe he'll work the 9th.
