If you were facing me, I would have nailed you in the ass on the first pitch every time right after you finished your routine. Aversion therapy might have helped you.
I am not surprised. He is well on his way to another All Star year. Unless he falls apart next year and can't put up 14 or 15 wins, the FO made a huge mistake in not giving him the 4th year.
I think Tek is playing hurt right now. Hopefully, this injury he has will not linger too long. He is a streaky hitter, and he is yet to get hot when he does, he'll take some pressure off Manny and Ortiz.
I don't agree at all. The team is healthy with the exception of Crisp who will be back soon. ANd there have been many other very positive signs in the early going.
People should be encouraged. Schilling is healthier than anyone could have hoped him to be. Lowell has shown that he will probably be closer to his old self than last year's version. Youks has shown that he is an everyday player. Beckett has been a horse. Papelbon has been lights out and Foulke has shown a return to form. When Coco comes back that should jump start the offense, and if they pick up Clemens or Willis, watch out.
Theo doesn't like compromising the future for expensive players who only have a couple of years left. Getting willis is for a package of prospects is not compromising the future. Willis is the future. He is a stud and he is still cheap. It would be a trade of an uncertain future for a certain future. Theo would be a fool not to make the deal. Lester is 22 and they are still teaching him fundamentals. He has a long long way to go, but Willis at 24 is already a star. There's no comparison.
I'd like to see him get on a good run soon. His lutre as a top prospect will start to get tarnished if he keeps going on this way. Get him on a little run, then the FO should talk him up big and wait for the Marlins to beg us for him as part of a package for Dontrelle Willis.
Lowell is doing fine. Everyone was predicting a fossilized player with a slow bat. He's been hitting around .300 and has a load of doubles. I think he is doing better than a lot of people expected. He has solidified the 3B job and silenced the murmuring about Snow playing 1st and Youk going back to 3rd.
They are just not getting key hits. The good news is that there have been plenty of opportunities. Sooner or later they will come through and big innings will happen.
I heard from a very reliable source that Ms. Waldman had something going on with Boggs. We all know that he had terrible taste in woman. Anyway without disclosing my source, the story goes like this. Very late one night there was a knock at the hotel room door of Michael Kay. When Kay answered the door, it was Boggs. He apologized and said he thought that this was Suzanne's room. Kay got the impression that he wasn't going to her room to get a look at her scorecard for that day's game.
Any Yankee fan would love to have him the Yankee rotation, so bash away while you can. We will get the last laugh as he pumps his fist at Yankee batters that he has just buried.
Byrd has been tough on the Sox. He throws that soft-serve and he gets guys reaching and overswinging. This will be a tough comeback, especially if Beckett keeps giving up Homers.
