I wonder if Timlin will blame the hitting again.
  2. a700hitter
He looked out at first. Maybe if Hinske bobbled the ball we would have gotten the call.
  3. a700hitter
They have lost another opportunity to pick up ground. Where is Foulke--- in the witness protection program?
  4. a700hitter
Tito has to stop going to this guy. How can he have any trust left in this guy? He is this year's Alan Embree.

    Timlin again.
  6. a700hitter
The ump has to ask for help on that. Beltre did n't have control of the ball. He was bobbling it clearly. That cannot be an out. Tito should be arguing more strenuously.

    s***. Tie game.

Need one more blank frame from Boomer and some tack on runs in the 8th.

    This offense sucks.

    Boomer is still dealing.

    Boomer walking a guy?

Crappy OF play between Krapler and Crisp.

Another empty hit by DFA-- an RBI single.

For an extended period we had 3. I don't count Lester who was rushed to the majors and can't go more than 5 inning. Are there a lot of pitchers available on the FA market ? If Moose is available, we should make a push for him. We get better and the Yankees get worse.

I think this team is trending to be worse. I don't see any of the kids helping tjis team to improve next year. We'll be losing veterans like Nixon and Loretta and replacing them with a rookie (Pedroia) and an raw talent (Pena). 2007 will be a bumpy ride unless there are some big activity in the off-season. We may need to worry about the closer if we don't get any closer in the 2007 standings.

He only had to take one of the 5 games, but he doesn't get all the blame for himself. He was starting out deep in the hole pitching the "ultimate Loser" and the rookie in the double header. Theo put him into an 0-2 hole and Tito took it from there.

Tito didn't have many options to get offense into last night's lineup. I guess he could have put Ortiz at 1B, moved Loretta to 2B and DH'd Javy Lopez. He probably would have been better off with hinske in RF even against a LHP.

It would really spark even more interest internationally in Japan with Ichiro and Godzilla going at each other 19 times a year in this rivalry.

From today's Globe: The carnage continues. I guess we might see Welcome Back Kapler again tonight.
  22. a700hitter
Does anyone know when Ichiro's contract is up? Maybe Seattle would entertain trade offers for him. He would fill the CF and leadoff slots very nicely.

I thought the facial hair ban came in after the Munso/Jackson days. Maybe it's faulty memory but I thought that Mattingly got reprimanded at least once for length of hair, etc.

Yanks score the go ahead run on a wild pitch.
