  1. Unit's ERA at an even 5 after yesterday's game. Beckett at 4.82
  2. Snyder gives up way too many HRs.
  3. He's hit quite a few HRs against quality LHPs. Right now the big guy is doing it with no protection in the lineup. He's at 53 and counting. If he hits 55, he's still not the MVP, even though jeter might finish only 3rd in BA behind Mauer and Cano.
  4. My biggest losses started to mount beginning March 2000. 9/11 didn't help that situation any. You've got me beat by five dogs, otherwise we got the same thing going on right down to the mother in law. It really gets to be fun when the kiddies go to college. Those are some nice bills. That's a great line. I notice that he didn't address that in his response. I knew enough to stop wearing my Red Sox gear at Yankee Stadium at about age 13. Once I had hair on my balls, I knew that I was fair game to get the crap kicked out of me. Good post Mr. Crunchy! Very enjoyable and true.
  5. All Right!!
  6. I'm not saying that his rookie progress is slow. I just don't think the Sox can afford to be breaking in any rookie at the top of the lineup. If they give Pedroia the 2B job, I think they had better strengthen the lineup significantly so they can weather the bumps and slumps experienced by the Rookie. If he is able to hit the ground like Freddie Lynn, well ... then there's no problem. Very few guys can do that as Rookies.
  7. If Lidge sucks, you could move Cordero into the closers role. Cordero, Lidge, and Speier would be three major additions to the bullpen. I think the FO could make this happen. The only problem is that each of these guys might want the closer's job.
  8. Youk flirting with falling below the .280 mark. With his lack of power, he's nothing special at the 1B position unless he can hit .300.
  9. Loretta has played first too.
  10. Very weak. The Sox suck and not enough people visit the site.
  11. Pedroia with 4 errors in 25 games. Loretta with 4 errors in 139 games. Is this comparable?
  12. Error just changed to Pedroia. How many does he have since he has been up?
  13. Has Pedroia been botching these turns. I've seen him come off the base way too early in past games.
  14. If it works. I'll do it. I think he'll be a good major leaguer yet, but I just don't think they can afford a lack of consistency at the top of the lineup while he's learning. They either have to beef up the lineup, so he can be hidden at the bottom of the lineup, or they have to keep Loretta who is Mr. consistency and let pedroia play Cora's role.
  15. Not exactly an awe inspiring group, despite Pedroia's homer.
  16. Stinkskie, Gonzo and Pedroia due up in the 6th. I'm sure that Burnett is having an anxiety attack.
  17. More Wily Mo Kingman k'ing.
  18. His ball-strike ratio looks good. You like to see that from young pitchers.
  19. How does the rookie hurler look? How's his stuff? Is anyone getting a TV feed?
