    I'll keep Beckett. He's a young stud that has already had a significant amount of success in the majors. His rough spots will turn out to be learning experiences that will only make him better. Young pitchers don't usually succeed unscathed in the majors. I would expect that Wang will experience some rough spots as the league adjusts to him. Adjustments by the hitters are inevitable. The guys with staying power can make additional adjustments to stay ahead of the hitters.

    Hinske isn't an average OF. He's not an OF. The fact that Hinske will make the 25 man roster reflects how weak the the bench is. This guy was tossed in the garbage by Toronto.(Edit)

    Agreed. Pedro, Manny and Ortiz should have their numbers retired. Their accomplishments were historical. I still maintain that a strong argument can be made based on Lg Adj ERA, h/9, Whip, k's/9, and Winning % that Pedro is the best pitcher of all time. I've never seen a 1-2 punch like Manny and Ortiz. Unless you've seen Gehrig and Ruth no one has seen anything comparable.

    He just made my list of favorite Yankees. He's right there with DiMaggio, Mantle, Howard, Maris, Munson and Lidle.

    I'd prefer that POS Snyder over DiNArdo or Romero, and Murphy over Hinske. The bench is still weak as is the bullpen

    There is still work to be done by the FO. I'll be gagging in opening day if Hinske, Romero or DiNardo are on the roster.

    If he bombs? He wasn't that great when he was in his prime with the Yankee Dynasty team. He's not going to be any better three years after leaving with more wear and tear on his arm. Mr. (I want to play closer to home) Pettitte came back for one final big pay day to the only team that would cough up $34 million to him for 2 years. This will make Unit's contract look like a bargain.

    I sawhim play. He was on some pretty good hitting Pirate teams. I think he dug graves on the weekend.
