    This is why I don't get all excited about prospects. There are too many pitfalls. If he is injured, it is way too common a story. I remember reading an article in the 70's where Fisk was interviewed during Spring Training. He said that he didn't bother to talk to rookies in Camp, because they have very little chance of making the team and he didn't see any reason to develop a relationship with people that would be gone in a couple of weeks. At the time I though it was a little cold, but now I see his point. I'll get worked up about lester or Bucholz when they have 150+ innings under their belts in a year and 10 wins.

    He's couple of years away from making an impact, but it would have been interesting to watch him develop. Now, he has had a setback like most young pitchers.

    It's no big deal. He'd be going back to the minors soon anyway. There would be no room for him once Pavano rejoins the rotation.

    Maybe the Yankees need to hire a private manicurist to travel with Wang. A Masseur for Pavano's frequently bruised buttocks is probably also a good idea. These two make Drew look like a tough guy.

    The kid is an average major leaguer at best. At worst, he is a bust.

    Billy Rohr had no-no for 8 1/3 in his first major league start in Yankee Stadium and he won 1 or 2 more games in his career. Hughes is kid who throws 90-91. Big whoop. Arroyo throws almost that hard with better curve.

    He's also 15-7 against the Red Sox lifetime. He wouldn't be replacing Wang in the rotation, but he'd be an improvement to their staff.

    Wang's ERA against Boston is not very good.

    No one is giving up on Pedroia, but it can't be helpful to his psyche if he contnues to play and hit .180. He needs to sit for awhile.

    Randy Johnson pitched 6 innings giving up 2 earned runs, 7 hits, striking out 5 and walking 1 in his second start of the season. The Yankees would kill for this performance, but they have Luis Vizcaino instead.
