    Other than the mistake about Manny's homer, I like the Twin announcers. They are a pretty interesting pair compared to lots of other team's announcers. Blyleven is an excellent color guy.

    Can the stupid talk, stupid. Let me remind you that you are on the losing end of a bet with me at this moment. I am not saying that Hughes will not have a better career than Arroyo. At this point in his career, Hughes is more advanced than Arroyo was. Arroyo was a late bloomer. The point that I was making is that 90-91 mph stuff is not that outstanding. I was using Arroyo as an example of an unspectcular pitcher who throws around 90 with a more refined curveball. If you want to question the point that I am making, I am more than happy to explain myself, so there is no need to start with the name-calling, stupid. I can't wait for you to be my bitch when you lose that bet.

    This is slightly different than my recollection, but nonetheless the FO balked at dealing Lester. Dominating in AAA is a far cry from succeeding in the majors.

    That's not what was being reported at the time. They walked away from the Red Sox offer, which was never disclosed. The Astros were rumored to be asking for the 3 pitchers and Crisp. Why would they walk away from the trade they proposed? That's Theo's job to figure out who is available. It depends on the organization he lands with. I remember getting a Cy Young winner from the Expos for our top two pitching prospects.

    Yeah! I love that Vizcaino for Randy Johnson trade. When was the last time that Hairston hit a homer? Suzynn Waldman and Sterling are killing the guy and Torre for bringing him in.
