  1. Grand Salami by Youkilis on the 3-1 pitch. Yes! His first ever.
  2. Walks Lowell to walk in a run.
  3. Manny gets HBP to load the bases for Lowell with one out
  4. A blast by Ramon Hernandez. 2-1 Red Sox
  5. Two days in a row Casey hits the top of the OF Wall. He has missed 2 HRs by a total of less than 8 inches.
  6. Drew and Manny with the back to back HRs. 2-0
  7. Pedro pitched 4 innings of shutout one hit ball on 60+ pitches, but didn't come out for the 5th. Does anyone know what happened?
  8. When he was first diagnosed, it was revealed that the cancer was very aggressive and incurable. He went into remission and was cancer-free. Recently, he had a biopsy which revealed no new cancer growth. I haven't read any new developments on his health since the biopsy, so this is somewhat shocking.
  9. Bobby Murcer and Tony Snow die on the same day. Both good guys. May they rest in peace.
  10. Even if Rasner gets the win today, he sucks. He is facinga terrible lineup without Vernon Wells and Rios. He is struggling every inning. Rasner is a bum. Ponson is a bum retread. With two guys like this in the rotation, this team cannot go anywhere. Recently, I posted that the mini -run by the Yankees was a temporary thing thanks to the efforts of Mo Rivera. He can't go 2 innings every day. With starters like the Yankees, they will need 4 innings from their pen 3 out of 5 days. No bullpen can hold up under that workload.
  11. The Yankees have scored 9 for Rasner and the yankees have the Bullpen up in the 4th inning.
  12. Scuturo just boxed a DP ball by Jeter. 4-3 Toronto. Yanks with the sacks still full with 1 out in the second inning.
  13. I think we will miss Lugo's range. He could make some excellent plays from the hole and behind second base. His fileding slump for the season has come and gone, and he had been pretty steady lately.
  14. Lugo's down and hurt. It looks like Jed Lowrie will get his chance.
  15. I'll admit that he is no Jason Johnson, but I shudder when I hear that justification used by the Sox. Jason 'the Ultimate Loser" Johnson was touted as a low risk move. They left him in the rotation for 6 starts. After going 0-4 and the team winning only 1 of his 6 starts, the season was essentially wrecked. That's what can happen with these so-called low-risk noves.
  16. I guess that these are the spots we will be seeing Masterson instead of MDC.
  17. This move is not deserving of a separate thread.
  18. What a terrible route Gardner just took to the ball. This kid is not Jacoby Ellsbury.
