    VMart is an excellent hitter, but unless he is going to catch a significant number of game, I don't see how he fits with Lowell and Youk who are solid offensively. Neither of the major holes were filled --SS or SP. The bullpen was also weakened. I graded him a B-, but I think that might have been too generous.

    Don't we have Lowell under contract for another year. I'm not so sure that VMart is a big upgrade over Lowell.

    I'm with you on Halladay, but Gonzalez would seem to present a big logjam even if LaRoche goes in the deal.
