How long are you going to beat this drum for King Felix? Can it wait until the off-season? Why would Seattle want damage goods in Dice K for a young up and coming stud. If they trade him at all, and I don't think that they will, they'll want the entire Farm System. They are not going to want some broken down two time WBC MVP.

Dice K will start for Pawtucket on Friday. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090902&content_id=6751816&vkey=news_t533&fext=.jsp&sid=t533

...and maybe bench Ortiz, DH Lowell and catch Varitek.
-
With the lead, Tito may have opted to go a different way. He may have opted to go with Oki to start the 8th inning, especially sicne a lefty Carlos Pena was leading off the 8th. You can't excuse a mangerial screw up by saying that it wouldn't have mattered anyway, because that we truly don't know.
-
he felt good enough to PH in the 9th and line out to LF. His condition was not the issue. The issue was managerial strategy.

Does Dice K pitch in AAA tonight?

Stupid baserunning decision by the Rays there with 1 out.
-
I guess Lowell will take the DH spot vacated by Ortiz.
-
Ell s should drag a bunt to the right side
-
A major league wild pitch. Wow! f***in AGon! f***ing Tito? Lowell gathers dust on the bench
-
Why not bat Lowell here?
-
Tito again giving Lowell's ABs to Kotchman.
-
Penny 7 shutout innings against the Phillies. The Phillies have a pretty potent lineup.
-
-
True. There would be no reason to DL either of them even if they get hurt, because of the expanded rosters. We could carry the bet over to next season. What do you think? All the Ortiz haters should send me some El Presidente if he hits 30 HRs. You were with me on that one.
-
It bothers me when Tito feels the need to get Kotchman ABs at Lowell's expense. This is not for the puirpose of getting Lowell rest. He gets that when Varitek plays.

Only 3 are major leaguers capable of playing every day. The 4th major leaguer can only play twice a week. The rest of them should have to buy a ticket to get into Fenway for pennant chase baseball. Pray that Drew doesn't tweak one of the 10 or 20 parts of his body that he has been known to tweak. Pray that Ellsbury pops up after each of his diving catches without a limp or shaking an arm. If one of those things happens, a huge black hole will appear in the Red Sox lineup that would have a huge negative impact on the run production of the team. The OF is a thin as it was before. But we have 3 first basemen, and Tito insists on giving the singles hitting Kotchman playing time at the expense of Lowell who has been crushing. This is to compound the effect of giving Tek ABs at Lowell's expense.

Michael Young will miss two weeks and possibly the rest of the season. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/10010560/Rangers-All-Star-Young-to-miss-multiple-weeks

I corrected this for you.

Welcome. Where do you live in Italy?

This should have been a poll choice.

11-10 Toronto after 7 innings. It doesn't matter if Texas pulls this game out and it doesn't matter how soft their schedule is in September. They are going nowhere. A team with one veteran starter (and the veteran is Kevin Milwood) has no chance. None. The Red Sox would need to have a catastrophe to lose to Texas.
-
Texas has one experienced pitcher in their rotation. Even Ranger management doesn't expect that the kids will hold up. They are dead meat. The Rays threw in the towel when they traded kazmir.

Giants sign Penny to help in playoff race
a700hitter replied to Christian Snyder's topic in Other Baseball
I was hoping that the Yankees would sign him.
