Only 3 are major leaguers capable of playing every day. The 4th major leaguer can only play twice a week. The rest of them should have to buy a ticket to get into Fenway for pennant chase baseball. Pray that Drew doesn't tweak one of the 10 or 20 parts of his body that he has been known to tweak. Pray that Ellsbury pops up after each of his diving catches without a limp or shaking an arm. If one of those things happens, a huge black hole will appear in the Red Sox lineup that would have a huge negative impact on the run production of the team. The OF is a thin as it was before. But we have 3 first basemen, and Tito insists on giving the singles hitting Kotchman playing time at the expense of Lowell who has been crushing. This is to compound the effect of giving Tek ABs at Lowell's expense.

11-10 Toronto after 7 innings. It doesn't matter if Texas pulls this game out and it doesn't matter how soft their schedule is in September. They are going nowhere. A team with one veteran starter (and the veteran is Kevin Milwood) has no chance. None. The Red Sox would need to have a catastrophe to lose to Texas.

Texas has one experienced pitcher in their rotation. Even Ranger management doesn't expect that the kids will hold up. They are dead meat. The Rays threw in the towel when they traded kazmir.

Great outing tonight. Consistency is the key. So far, he has followed good starts with crappy ones. He's got a live arm, a good curve and a very deceptive change up. He needs to be consistent from start to start.

Gathright was acquired because they need another OFer. Baldelli can't go every day if one of the starters goes down for a while. Gathright is a good fielding OFer and has exceptional base running speed (if he can manage to get on base).
