  1. They are the only two catchers in the universe?
  2. He did say that he would have been okay with Piazza charging the mound. I agree with him. He must have had some reasons to come to that conclusion. Maybe they are the same as mine, maybe they are not, but we agree that Piazza should have charged the mound.
  3. What a f***ed up inning! They give us a bunch of runs with errors and Varitek gives them back.
  4. Kendrick is a Sox killer. Don't like seeing him in this situation.
  5. Tek was counting his shoelaces?
  6. I'll take Leiter's side over yours in this argument. Afterall, he lived it.
  7. Baldelli is out for Anderson. What's up, Baldelli can't play more than innings these days?
  8. Wow, with a 1-2 count, the pitcher just needs to throw the ball in the dirt and AGon would have flailed at it.
  9. Oh, the Mighty Casey just crapped out.
  10. The offensive terror Kotchman is up in a big spot.
  11. The Series couldn't have turned out worse for the Mets could it? I am fairly certain that if Piazza had charged the mound after Clemens fired the chard of a broken bat at him that he would not have been given anything more than the ejection. Baseball was still buzzing about Clemens deliberate beaning of Piazza in July.
  12. Lowell's ball should have been a DP. What a break.
  13. Did the ump call him safe and then punch him?
  14. Absolutely. I know plenty of Mets fans that agree. After the psycho act that Clemens put on the Mets went down like lambs. They were totally intimidated and overmatched by Clemens that night. There was not an ounce of life on the Met bench after the incident. If Piazza and Clemens both got tossed, the Mets would have benefited from that swap on that night. Instead, Piazza's pussy routine made his team Clemen's bitches.
  15. The WBC is building a good record for messing up pitchers. Dice K is not the only one. The Red Sox realy could not have put him back in the rotation any earlier. The guy had an 8 1/2 ERA when he was DL'd. His rehab starts have been nothing to brag about. In one, he got tuned up in the 1st inning. I'm not going to get excited about him unless he is able to build on this performance with consistency in the next 2 starts. Personally, I hope he has a huge post-season and then the Sox move him for King Felix like Example has been proposing. I think his shoulder is going to explode way before his contract is up.
  16. How he does down the stretch is really only important for the team to regain enough confidence in him to use him in the playoffs. There is no stretch run here, because the Rangers have eliminated themselves. He could be a factor in the post season. The organization should be re-examining their decision to let him pitch in the WBC which essentially wrecked his season. A healthy Dice K would have helped this team win the Division, and taking into consideration their lousy road play that would have been huge. It will be the lack of the home field advantage that will be the biggest obstacle for the Sox in the post season.
  17. Posada has always been a punk. I remember him getting twisted when Manny styled on a HR in a game when the Yanks still were leading late in a game. He's a f***ing idiot telling a HOF player like Manny anything. A .260 hitter talking trash to Manny. How ridiculous!
