You and Spud are bringing me down. Yes, I am concerned about things, but I think the Sox beat the Angels again, unless the Angels steal 5 bases each game. "A year of development"? Huh? We lost to Tamp last year. That was enough development. We've only got one young guy in a critical spot and he might not pitch until game 4. Everyone else is fairly well-seasoned.

I would have gone with Dice K before tonight's debacle. Now, I wouldn't even agonize about it, unless Dice K looks like s*** in his last start. In the playoffs, I think experience is very important. Schilling won 3 games in '07 with his shoulder hanging by a thread and topping out at 90 mph. An experienced guy with poise is a real commodity, when everyone is as tight as a drum.

After 3 HRs by Lind, he gets plunked on the elbow. I guess one of our guys goes down tomorrow.

What possible benfit possibly have been gained from letting Buchholz give up 5 HRs? It's a nice outing for him to think about as he prepares for the post season. Every time I look up tonight Millar is doing something. He is going to need to be iced from head to toe after the game. This is the most activity he has had all season.

Dipre, you have no sense of humor at all when the Sox are getting bitch slapped. I think it is pretty funny that this guy seems to hurt himself more when he is sleeping than when he is pitching. I apologize by injecting some humor by calling him the Princess and the Pea. However, I am concerned that this so-called sleeping injury took three cortisone shots in the back. When the f*** has anyone heard of a player getting 3 cortisone shots on the same day. That doesn't sound good. He has pretty much sucked since the All Star Break anyway. The last time I saw Lester he was rolling around on the mound grabbing his leg. To top it all off Buchholz gives up a month of HRs in 5 innings. I'm not feeling great about our pitching right now. Should I?

When our pitchers give up shots to Kevin Millar, that never leaves me with a good feeling. And by the way go f*** yourself. Weren't you in a panic throwing in the towel on the team in the middle of August or earlier? You're trying to make me seem negative. I thought we had a shot at the Division up until a week ago. So please don't be calling me negative.

Maybe they can start him in game 1 since Lester has a bad leg and the Princess and the Pea had 3 cortisone shots in his back. That doesn't sound good. Maybe this will be the playoff rotation; Buchholz, Dice K, Wakefield and Byrd. I'm gagging just thinking of the possibility. Probably would give Example a cluster headache.

Tonight --5 HRs in his tune up start before the playoffs. Did you watch the game. He served up more meatballs than served at all Vinny T locations tonight.

True story, when Yaz was told that he needed open heart triple bypass surgery, he asked the doctor if he could just take a pill. Legend has it that after the surgery he removed the surgical staples with a spoon they gave him to eat jello then he rubbed some dirt on it and left the hospital under his own power.
