I wanted them to play, because if they meet in the ALCS they would have had some recent ABs against him. It's always to the hitters advantage to see more of a pitcher.

I would think Tito would want Bay to get some ABs against CC in case we face the Yankees in the ALCS. They could sit him on Monday.

Bowden is ready to start for KC, not Boston. If he stays with the Sox, they should break him in by using him as a long man in the bullpen. -

He is useless at the plate. He is having trouble blocking balls, and he couldn't throw out a one-legged runner. He only does 2 things well-- catch foul pops and block the plate.

I thought that they also celebrated clinching the playoff spot in 2007, but that it was not a long celebration because they would be celebrating again in a few days. BTW the did win the East Division one other time during the Wild Card era-- 1995. The Yankees were the Wild Card team that year.
