  1. There's no one definition. In one Series the Yankees were up 3 runs in a game 7 with 6 outs left and lost the lead tied the game and then lost it. That was brutal. In 1986, game 6 was a brutal loss, but it was not a World Series losing loss, because it was only game 6. 2004 speaks for itself. To be one win away and lose 4 in a row. Well, that's pretty brutal.
  2. Pettitte is looking for a good vein tonight. He need the HGH to be fast acting. I'm sure that he'll say aprayer first and seek the good Lord's guidance before he injects himself.
  3. That makes perfect sense. :what: The Yanks have the worst WS late inning choke in a deciding game IMO. They also have the biggest choke distinction in 2004, by doing something that had never been done in the history of the game.
  4. If it goes to a game 7, lee will have a couple of days of and he might be able to give the Phillies a couple of innings in game 7.
  5. How does Pettitte do on 3 days rest?
  6. If the Yanks manage to lose this series, the Boss will come out of his vegetative state and have a press conference calling Tex the new Mr. May.
  7. Tex is the new ARod.
  8. damon makes things happen.
  9. Isn't it better to win at home?
  10. Jeter pretending to be ARod. There goes my chance to win the bet. Piece of s*** Captain!
  11. This guy is choking like a pig.
  12. Their pen is an embarrassment.
  13. This guy is going to spit the bit.
  14. Timmy says that Madson is less likely to walk himself into trouble than Lidge, so he'll probably walk a couple here.
  15. I wouldn't mind the Yankees getting 2 runs in the 9th and losing by 1 run. I'd win my Yankee bet where I am getting 1 1/2 runs and live to bet another day.
  16. Why? He's not going to get another start.
  17. Every FO makes good moves and bad moves. Criticizing the bad moves does not equate to a condemnation of the FO. I have on several occasions made it clear that I think this FO has done a very good job on balance. It's convenient for those people who disagree with me in those instances to make inaccurate generalizations about me. I guess you are one of those people.
  18. Let's try to stay on topic. There will be plenty of time to debate the FO moves and your perception that my criticism of certain decisions arises to a blanket condemnation of the FO. I am surprised that an avowed liberal thinker like yourself is so quick to make broad generalizations of other peoples views. Isn't that how bigotted stereotypes start?
