We need Pedroia to break out of his funk and do something this inning.
  2. a700hitter
Phillies are being shutout through 5 innings again tonight. Their offense sucks and they are killing my fantasy teams.
  3. a700hitter
But he had been dominating them before this season.

Do you ever get tired of posting to yourself. I hope Joba gets a pilots license.

12 hits off Lackey in the 6th is concerning against these chumps.
  6. a700hitter
I picked him on two of my fantasy league. I thought he could hit.

Beltre hits like a beast. If the 3rd base ump didn't make a bad call, Ortiz could have been on for Grand Salami.
  8. a700hitter
There have been a few ropes besides the HR. He's pitching like s***.
  9. a700hitter
    88 pitches and 4 runs
  10. a700hitter
10 hits against Lackey and the 5 th inning is not over yet.
  11. a700hitter
He walks Ellis to load the bases with no one out. The A's are looking for a big inning.
  12. a700hitter
Vasquez is taking care of business against the Orioles, but Lackey is sucking against these nobody's.
  13. a700hitter
Lackey with more sucky. The A's hardly hit any HRs but Barton crushed that one.

You think Bronson Arroyo is as bad a major league player as Wily Mo Pena? Arroyo has held down a major league role for years. Wily Mo was a complete bust.

Cameron is out again and seeing a doctor. We knew this would happen sooner or later with this abdominal injury. With Ellsbury still out, I hope we don't go into another flat period. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/extra_bases/

You should realize by now that Yankees bad injury news is good news on this forum. Please label it accordingly.

Yes, they made something, but not $52 million. I was talking about a profit. What they have so far for their investment is a huge loss.

At least Doji only made a suggestion. Sparky Lyle was already a major leaguer and a top young left handed reliever and he was traded to the arch enemy for Danny Cater. The Red Sox actually made that trade. In a couple of years we may witness a similar scenario when Rivera hangs up his spikes when Papelbon hits the FA market. The FO will convince us that Papelbon will not be worth the money as he walks to the Yankees for draft picks. At least Doji's suggestion will not happen, but really bad trades, signings and non-signings happen. No need to jump ugly all over Doji. I think he gets the point. The real tragedy is that Front offices full of highly paid professionals do manage to make some ridiculous moves. Julio Lugo is one that pops immediately to mind. Dice K is at a cross roads, but he could end up being a $100 million bust when all is said and done. Please don't tell me about how much money the Sox are making from the Japanese market. Until the Sox point to a figure on a balance sheet, I am taking the position that they have made nothing from the Japanese market.

His last game is closer to his norm than is the one-hitter. Everyone creamed their panties when he 1-hit the Phillies, but that game was an aberration. He got lucky facing an offense that is in a horrible slump. They have been shut out in 5 of their last 8 games and in another game they managed only one-run. Some of the pitchers that have shut them down have been very ordinary or unaccomplished. Dice K has a lot to prove.

    Varitek with his 7th HR
  22. a700hitter
He gave up a single to Jeter (who has the most hits in Yankee history) and it was on a low pitch that Jeter went down to get. He clearly wasn't losing it.

Brilliant move by the idiot manager, Acta taking out Masterson with 2 outs and 2 on in the 7th inning. Masterson's stuff was great today. He was throwing ground balls all day long. The reliever gives up a 3-run bomb to his first batter.
  24. a700hitter
    So is Cameron.
  25. a700hitter
Hall is mashing the ball today.
