  1. It wasn't much of a collision, and I don't think there is anything definitive about the causes of his subsequent injuries.
  2. If he keeps rebreaking ribs without contact, maybe there is something else wrong with him. I don't know how that happens. Maybe Jacko knows.
  3. Kalish has some good skills. He runs well and has excellent base running instincts. He also has excellent fielding skill He gets a good break on balls and runs them down very well. Nava has very marginal skills at best.
  4. It looked like Nava stuck his leg out to get hit with that pitch.
  5. I clearly said that he had a bad rep for commitment in the minors. I am saying (not anyone else) that I am not surprised that he has been out so long because he was known to have commitment issues in the minors and Youk still thinks he has commitment issues. Is that clear enough for you, Dutchy. Please post some pictures.
  6. Runner on 3rd and no outs and the 2, 3, and 4 hitters can't get him home.
  7. I believe we were discussing commitment.
  8. Youkilis is a good barometer for me. I'll side with him on just about any baseball issue.
  9. Then I guess the TV commentator heard the same thing, because he was the one who interpreted it. I didn't know what Francona meant. Any way, I am with Youkilis on this issue.
  10. The O's are slapping Shields around tonight. They have 5 runs so far. Of course, we made him look like an All Star when our season was on the line.
  11. I agree, and Kalish has not earned the 4th spot, so there is no room for Nava.
  12. Salty sucks! He had plenty of time to get both hands on the ball and brace himself for the impact.
  13. Does anyone still think Nava has major league prospects?
  14. Joel Sherman will not be getting any smiles in the Yankee clubhouse. lol!!!
  15. Not too many guys are as productive against righ handed pitching.
  16. Sox need to get a good right handed DH complement to Ortiz. 25 of Ortiz's 27 HRs are against righties. If he had been just average against lefties, he'd have about half a dozen more.
  17. That's what was reported.
  18. According to Joel Sherman, Jeter should be batting 9th. This is the first time, in my recollection, that Jeter has been criticized in the NY press. He must be finished. http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/yankees/what_in_name_yOoYY6OoL6TNOMdSoGhpjP
  19. You may not have heard about it, but that was his reputation within the organization.
  20. 95 pitches and Buchholz is done? Tito is running up the white flag.
