    Kalish has some good skills. He runs well and has excellent base running instincts. He also has excellent fielding skill He gets a good break on balls and runs them down very well. Nava has very marginal skills at best.

    I clearly said that he had a bad rep for commitment in the minors. I am saying (not anyone else) that I am not surprised that he has been out so long because he was known to have commitment issues in the minors and Youk still thinks he has commitment issues.     Not too many guys are as productive against righ handed pitching.

    Sox need to get a good right handed DH complement to Ortiz. 25 of Ortiz's 27 HRs are against righties. If he had been just average against lefties, he'd have about half a dozen more.

    It wasn't a rumor. Tito made a statement at some point last season that he believed that Ellsbury had a better understanding of the type of commitment (and he used the word commitment) to be successful at the major league level. After playing that clip, the commentator said that Ellsbury did have a reputation in the minors regarding commitment.

    My recollection is that Hanley also played CF in the Red Sox system.
