  1. I'm not proud of a 16-14 combined record aqgainst the Orioles, Guardians and Royals, regardlees of our injury problems. That was flat out bad baseball.
  2. This team has consistently spit the bit against teams they should beat. Replace Toronto in my post with Baltimore, or KC. Teams we should roll over we find a way to lose to them. That's the 2010 Sox. If they had taken care of business against the Orioles, KC, and Cleveland and won 70% of those games instead of being 16-14, they would be in this race. Injuries was no excuse for not beating that garbage. That is a big part of the 2010 Red Sox story
  3. The Sox will characteristically drop 2 of 3 to Toronto. By the time the Sox face the Yanks, they will be 8 games back and virtually eliminated
  4. Not really. It's just funny watching the Yankee fans squirm.
  5. Maybe Girardi has lug nuts up his ass.:dunno:
  6. Soriano looking to blow the game.
  7. Lefty-Righty matchup?
  8. Balfour chokes in big spots.
  9. Since you lived in Paris for a while, I would have thought you were on a baguette.
  10. WHat the hell is up with Dan Johnson? Selig should order an immediate blood test. lol!!!
  11. Fingers crossed.
  12. At least Masterson can break a pane of glass.
  13. Why do we always make David Pauley look like Cy Young?
  14. Neither Sabathia nor Pettitte pitched in that series and Lee was matched up with Mosely.
  15. We can hope, but I don't see the Twins or Texas beating them, unless Lee gets hot.
  16. RED SOX (81-64) Scutaro 2B Kalish CF Martinez C Ortiz DH Beltre 3B Nava LF Reddick RF Anderson 1B Navarro SS Pitching: RHP Clay Buchholz (15-7, 2.53) MARINERS (55-90) Suzuki RF Figgins 2B Branyan DH Gutierrez CF Kotchman 1B Lopez 3B Saunders LF Moore C Woodward SS Pitching: RHP David Pauley (2-7, 4.39) Game time: 6:40 p.m. Yuk to this lineup. I would not throw Beltre anything within 1 foot of home plate.
  17. 6:40 is even more weird than 6:05.
  18. You had said the Yankees were falling apart, not their rotation. Pitchers do tend to get a little worn out by the end of August. Wainright has had trouble in August and Gallardo had a terrible August. They are both All Star pitchers. Buchholz had the worst start of the season his last time out. Many teams have starters go through tough stretches in late August, but that highlights the importance of a strong bullpen. The Yankee bullpen has been pretty strong throughout, which is why the team has not fallen apart. Their starters should rebound, except maybe for Burnett. Pettitte coming back will give a big boost. In the post season, they'll only need one more pitcher to throw out there with CC and Pettitte. Burnett can be on a short short leash with Hughes in the pen.
  19. They were in a little slump, but they are not falling apart. Texas is leading their division, and the Orioles have been winning for Showalter. The Yankees are not in a collapse or free-fall. They played the Rays into extra innings in two games in Tampa and split those games. They still have the best record in baseball, so they are not exactly falling apart.
  20. It's sad that Ortiz can't get around anymore on mediocre 97 mph fastballs.
  21. Dice K sucks. He's struggling with a AAA team tonight and he has been the beneficiary of two caught stealings.
