  1. I'll take the 28 year old superstar at the height of his skills any day over a washed up 38 year old OFer with a hernia.
  2. Boy, Cameron was a nice pickup for $16 million. Good value acquisition.
  3. This just in from the Red Sox medical staff. They announced that at this time of the year --after approximately one-quarter of the season- there is a common phenomenon that occurs with some managers. They frequently go through a "dread brain" period. The medical staff has diagnosed Tito with this syndrome. He will have to ride it out. They recommend a diet with plenty of fish, anti-oxidant foods, and plenty of rest (which he can get during the games). He should be back to his standard managerial stupidity in about 10 days to 2 weeks. He'll be right back on par with Maddon and Girardi in no time said the team doctor. In the meantime, the team will have to rely more heavily on the bench coach.
  4. Sometimes a guy just doesn't have it. The manager is supposed to be able to figure that out before every fan and take the pitcher out before he blows up the game. Tito always lets them blow up the game. Always!!
  5. 6 runs with a 7th possible run on base. Good work Tito-- you stupid f***!!!
  6. Get him out of there!! WTF!!! Is Francona obsessed with trying to get wins for the starters? He is costing the team games.
  7. If Buch puts on the first batter in the 5th, Tito should pull him.
  8. What was that all about?
  9. Is there anyone up in the pen?
  10. Amazing-- a manager that takes his starter out before he gives up 7 runs. A revolutionary concept.
  11. Ortiz is more reliable than a Maytag.
  12. Buchholz has settled down, but he should still be on a short leash.
  13. I think Saltalmachia leads the league in reaching first base on swinging strike three.
  14. Clay with the walk now. If he doesn't have it, Tito has to start getting these guys out of the game before the other team blows the game open. They have 4 on the board already. He should be on a short leash.
  15. Hopefully, he is under contract with the Yankees at that point.
  16. Fifth starter types shouldn't be hard to find. In a fifth starter, the key attribute should be consistency. A guy who will take the ball every fifth day and keep his team in most games would fill the bill.
  17. From today's Boston Globe. This backs up what I have been saying for a couple of years. The Dice K signing was a bust.
  18. If they go on a 6 game winning streak, I don't think you will mind the wait.
  19. The jury is in. Crawford officially sucks.
  20. Criticizing the manager is part of American culture. Managers get hired to get fired. They get the blame whether or not they are to blame. It's a s simple as that. I don't know why people get so defensive. It goes with the territory. Unlike BS (Before Steinbrenner) managers, today's mangers make very good money to make out a lineup card and take a nap on the bench. Some don't even have the brain power to make out the lineup card-- remember a couple of years ago when Joe (Self-proclaimed genius) Maddon made out a lineup with two third basemen.
