    As much as Lackey brings the suck, I'd rather watch him pitch. Dice K was simply the most frustrating non-knuckleballer that I have watched pitch for the Red Sox in many years.

    Beltran is hitting very well tight now. None of the other options offer what Beltran will bring to the table.

    This is it^. This reduces his market value, which makes him a really good value for his offensive production. He will be with the Red Sox in 2012 barring injury. I am just surprised that E1 didn't see through Jacko's BS.

    It ain't gonna happen. Mark it down and hold me to it. Edit: Because Ortiz only plays one side of the ball, he will be cheaper than the other options while providing more offensive production. Plus, Vmart's value on the other side of the ball isn't anything great and Beltre's ain't gonna DH.
