I am posting this poll to gauge the emotion of this forum's members with regard to the Red Sox prospects for the remainder of the 2011 season.

I have instructed my family to hide my Father's Day Fenway Brick from me until I have regained some sanity in the off season.

Theo has done the unthinkable. He has managed to make a worse free agent signing than Julio Lugo.

Statistically, he has the worst ERA of any Red Sox starter with at least 60 innings in the team's history. That is astounding.

The news just keeps getting better and better. -
In his last 4 starts Lackey's ERA is 7.89. He is the worst starting pitcher in Red Sox history, and we have had some bad pitchers.

Our guys have the same look as the Mets when they were choking away the 2007 and 2008 seasons. They need to snap out of this fast, and tomorrow we throw Weiland to the wolves. That is not going to be pretty.

As good as AGod has been, his HR production has been somewhat disappointing. -
Am I supposed to get excited that Clay Buchholz threw aggressively on flat ground? There was some other good news on the injury front: J.D. Drew showed no ill effects after thumb wrestling with the Equipment Manager.

Wade Davis sacked up tonight and Lackey sacked out.

Wade Davis is the Rays #4 pitcher and he is working into the 8th innig against the best offense in the league. Our guys never work that deep into games.

I'd rather not relive it. Watching this year's team is bringing back some very bad memories. There are all sorts of books and accounts of the 1978 season that are available. If this season doesn't end tragically, remind me during the off season and I will gladly give you my recollection of that horrible summer.

It's unbelievable that Wade Davis is cutting through our line up like a hot knife through butter.

Next season we need to cut ties with J.D. Drew, Wakefield, Miller, Atchinson, Dice K, Bedard, D Mac, Albers, Jenks and Connor Jackson. On thin ice are Lackey, Youkilis (if he has a hip condition it might be best to cut ties with him if he doesn't recover over the winter), Lowrie, and Aviles

So in the biggest September series of the season the Red Sox send a pitcher with a 6+ ERA to start the opener and we back him up with some guy who is about 70 years old.

They should just pull him. His pitching sucks and the brain fart was just inexcusable. This teams' fundamentals have not been up to par all season long. Tito is too busy playing cards with the boys. He doesn't have time to teach fundamentals.

They are doing what the Mets did a couple of years ago. If Lester can't ace up for us on Sunday we will be circling the drain.

In addition to sucking, Lackey is a stupid lazy *******. He stands on the mound like he is waiting for a bus. Good God!
