    The old stadium is in the run down part of town. It never bothered me. Compared to some of the slums in Brooklyn and the Bronx the Ft. Myers slum was slum-lite. It was mainly low income single family little homes.

    i was in Ft. Myers in October, but I had to rush back home for a family issue so I didn't get to check out the new site. Where is it located... closer to Hammond field-- the Twins complex?

    I don't think they haven't announced the date that Spring Training tickets go on sale. It should be very soon-- a couple of weeks. I'll be down in Ft. Myers March 17th to the 24th. I always look forward to it-- all winter long. I hope you make it down this spring-- new stadium and complex. BTW: I like the Bobby V move.

    Not really a no-brainer. It's not like they swapped out the cheap Bard for the expensive Papelbon. It's a little more complex than that. When Bard takes the closer spot, he leaves a huge hole in the 7th/8th inning. They lost one-half of the two headed monster they had to close out games. It wasn't an either or proposition. They should still have both of them.

    It's Papelbon's fault! The FO made every effort to sign him. Yeah, right. They were probably call screening his calls to voice mail.

    Factoring in the compensation in the same trade makes it really hard to determine what value we get for Theo. I think at this point that we just chalk Theo up as a loss with little or no comp value.

    If ridiculing the FO is starting s***, then I plead guilty. I don't view it as anything other than fair game in public discourse. Ridiculing another poster would definitely be an attempt to start s***. Hmmm.... maybe that last post of mine was a little trash talkie, but some of you had it coming. At least you are here E1 when things are going in an unexpected way for you. I can appreciate that. I'll try to keep my endzone celebrations in check

    There aren't too many articles these last few days exalting the measured and considered approach being taken by the FO. The press is so irresponsible. Hopefully, the FO doesn't rush to judgment in hiring a manager just to appease the angry mob. They are really pounding the keys in cyberspace. A coup d'etat could be a real danger.

    Shouldn't we be outraged at Edes, Shaughnessy and Gammons. Who the hell do they think they are? Do they know what is going on behind the scenes in the FO.... or is this farce so obvious that only an idiot wouldn't have cause to think something is amiss.

    I agree with you. Pete A. also a regularly steals material. How about a little credit once in a while fellas or throw us a couple of comp tickets.
