  2. I am, but I never saw Gretzky live at a game until he was with the Rangers. Even though he was at the end of his career, he was still something to see. His awareness on the ice was second to none. It was impossible to get a clean hit on the guy, even from the blindside. I saw two guys coming at him from opposite sides as he was digging the puck out from behind the net. It looked like they were about to make a Gretzky sandwich. At the last split second, he backed out with the puck and the 2 guys converging for the hit wiped each other out. It was like he had eyes in the back of his head.
  3. It has been so long since he coached that he is probably better known for his Steakhouse franchise. He was a great coach.
  4. Let's see how long this lasts.
  5. Two classes of inductees will be combined
  6. It's easy to explain. Right now, there are no sports, so there is nothing to like about them. I heard an interview with Keith Hernandez today. He said that MLB is considering playing half a season throughout October with the post season played at neutral warm whether sites or domes. He also said that the pitchers will need about 3 weeks of spring training.
  7. No double blind study!
  8. She's as much at fault as Trump for this virus.
  9. I wouldn't argue with that either, but I can understand that others would be more upset by what he did.
  10. And on cue, the Red Sox announce this:
  11. I wouldn't argue with you on that.
  12. Do you think that he didn't get enough punishment for his role in Houston?
  13. It took long enough.
  14. Managers do tend to get recycled. Some one will hire him. That is for sure.
  15. MVP, how close are you to Tampa?
  16. I don't think social distancing is the problem with resuming baseball. Spitting is the problem. And then there are players who like David Wells specialized in the nose rocket. I always felt that was a health menace.
  17. He was always a nice "off the bench" RH platoon bat. He was versatile in the field too --he could play OF, 1B and even 2B and 3B serviceable enough to use in a pinch. And he had the good fortune of having the best 2 weeks of his career to help his childhood favorite team win a championship. He has a lot to be happy and proud about.
  18. Not Corona related https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/04/yankees-co-owner-hank-steinbrenner-passes-away.html It's a sign of getting old that I remember when a young George Steinbrenner took over the NY Yankees from CBS and now his son dies.
  19. Moneyball Field of Dreams Pride of the Yankees
  20. Just guessing: Field of Dreams Pride of the Yankees For Love of the Game
  21. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Give everyone a test before they hit the clubhouses and keep them quarantined when they aren’t playing and get the season going.
  22. Check his stats against Clemente's stats.
  23. Like I said, he was very underrated.
  24. R.I.P. I saw Kaline at the end of his career. My first big exposure to him was the 1968 World Series. He did everything well -- every aspect of the game. He was one of those athletes that made it look easy. In my book, he was very underrated.
