  1. You left out fired GM goes to another city several years after the stink has washed off to captain another last place team.
  2. Rosenthal is a dickwad who is never right about anything. Bogaerts is a guy who you build around. You don’t dump him while he is under a long term deal.
  3. What would the sweetener be? They’d probably want a pitching prospect in addition to Verdugo. Do we have any with trade value?
  4. Hopefully, the Phillies think that today’s game is a night game. That will be our best chance at a victory.
  5. Double Digits. The Red Sox staff is good at that.
  6. Punching bags, piñatas and pigs. Roenicke is going down the same road as Joe Kerrigan and he is taking it to the next level. He will never be seen again in a managerial capacity. He’s be extremely lucky to land any job in baseball. Bloom is looking like a turd too.
  7. I don't think Downs is worthless, but he is nothing more than a medium trading chip.
  8. Jacko said that he could be flipped for a pitcher. I maintain that he cannot. Bloom should have gotten on pitching prospect in that deal. He did not.
  9. Don't hold you breath that he alone can bring back a pitcher. He can't, and he will not.
  10. No, Downs can't be flipped for pitching.
  11. The pitching staff ERA is over 6. It is the worst in all of baseball. No amount of hitting by Devers and JD would get this team to .500.
  12. Casas has been added to the 60 player pool. To me, this is a sign the he is being fast tracked. I also see that the Red Sox have acquired Christian Arroyo. I missed that, but he is also on the IL. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/08/red-sox-to-reportedly-add-triston-casas-to-player-pool.html
  13. Bloom: “A lot of work to do”. That’s an understatement. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/29678813/boston-red-sox-executive-chaim-bloom-says-team-lot-work-do
  14. Hw didn’t bring back a single pitching prospect. Downs is nothing special on either side of the ball.
  15. Hopefully, there will be fans next year.
  16. And the 1932 ownership was a year away from selling the team and the ballpark, so they didn’t give a hoot. Their other option was to sell all the players and burn down the stadium.
  17. The 2020 roster is a disgrace. A crack addict could have built a better pitching staff. Don’t give me this reset and rebuild ********. I could have built a better pitching staff for far less than your payroll and I could have done it while I was drunk at a bar and texting my friends. So spare me the lame ass excuses. I remember some miserly ownership and they never rolled out a pitching staff comprised of 13 garbage cans. Oh and while you are at it, get a new ballpark. The whole self-awarded “America’s Most Beloved Ballpark” has always been BS. And if you are going to charge the highest ticket prices in baseball at least offer your fans some comfort and good sight lines if we have to watch scrubs.
  18. Unwatchable. A historic level of futility.
  19. Mazza is not a major leaguer. It is that simple.
  20. We may just have to settle for getting more comfortably under .300.
  21. I am just being real about him. He looks good compared to the rest of the dumpster fire.
  22. The ooohing and ahhing over Verdugo might be a little over done. He has a whopping 8 RBI to go along with his 5 HRs. Shaking head.
  23. That would be a Pigata -- the pork version of the Turducken.
  24. Weber is looking to improve from piñata to punching bag.
