  1. 5 run lead with 3 outs to go. In the past 6 years, I could go to sleep and rest easy. Not so this year.
  2. The garbage that we have in the pig pen is not adequate. It just isn't. This garbage is not going to round into shape. The talent is not there. What is Cherrington waiting for?
  3. Thank God for the little man.
  4. We have used 5 pitchers to get the last 4 outs-- so ridiculous.
  5. 2 nice pitches from Morales
  6. Let me repeat-- this is a suckass nothing offense we are facing tonight, and we are hanging on by our fingers tips after scoring 11 runs. f***ing pathetic.
  7. Closers are over-emphasized.
  8. Did someone mention that the bullpen has been looking better lately? Puhlease!!!
  9. Buchholz managed to increase his ERA tonight.
  10. We had an 8 run lead with 9 outs left to go against the Yankees last Saturday.
  11. 5 run lead with 6 outs to go. This will be a nail biter.
  12. We needed a paunchy punchless over the hill utility infielder.
  13. Too many damn walks. You can survive this against a suck ass offense le the A's when you are bludgeoning them, but not against real teams.
  14. I would smack my pitcher for pitching to Ortiz with Shoppach on deck.
  15. We are just bludgeoning the other team, making the bullpen irrelevant.
  16. Ortiz is an assassin with the bat.
  17. You need them both to win. You can't win with a suckass bullpen, and our rotation will not look so hot if Buch doesn't rebound and stay healthy.
  18. Shifting pieces from the pen is not adding talent. If Buchholz gets injured, the pitching will not be better than it was last year, IMO. Good for you that you think we can withstand the injuries we have had plus a loss of Buch. I can't get to that analysis.
  19. Both were with the organization last year, and subtracting Bard from the pen might actually hurt the pen more than it helps the rotation. We added nothing and now we have long term injuries. IMO, Buich under performing or getting injured would he the final straw.
  20. I'd like to be able to agree with this, but I'll explain why I can't get there. We had an off season where we added no talent to the roster from the year before. We exchanged closers (a downgrade IMO). Many people felt that going into the season that we would need to be well conditioned and healthy throughout the season. It's hard for me to believe that we have improved on a 90 win season by adding nothing from outside the organization and by losing our closer, Ellsbury and Crawford to injury for huge chunks of the years. If you want also throw in under performance by Buchholz, the math just doesn't work for me. Just my opinion.
