  1. First time these two teams played a game in under 3 hours in 7 years.
  2. No, my post was not directed at you at all.
  3. During spring training, every time the Boob and Bobby V said they liked our pitching I would shake my head in disbelief all the while hoping that they were saying that to get the press off the scent of what they were doing behind the scenes to bring in some good pitching. They could not have been more wrong. On that basis alone, they should pay with their jobs, no excuses about unforeseeability, bad luck etc. It was foreseeable that the pitching would suck. That's why the writers asked about the pitching every single day. It was obvious. Maybe Bobby and the Boob can get a radio show with that catchy name.
  4. Let's keep blaming our bats, when our pitching is a world class abomination.
  5. His ERA is now 8.59. Seriously, what dud!!
  6. You just knew that was coming. Looking at Bobby V on the bench before that HR, it seemed that he knew it was coming. Cut this POS and let's see what Mark Prior has. At least he was once a good pitcher. Melanoma has always sucked.
  7. I am always complimented when posters sig me, even those times when they disagree with the statement they are sigging.
  8. AGon, who was supposed to be our best hitter and biggest offensive threat and he has 9 Homers. In the Yankees lineup tonight only Jeter (8), Chavez (8) and Ichiro (4) have less HRs.
  9. His cost is skyrocketing!
  10. They are stupid if they don't have a handle on the market. I am not willing to think they are that stupid. Every single year it is the same song and dance. At the end, they act shocked at the cost of acquiring players at the trade deadline. They get caught by surprise every year? I'm not drinking their f***ing kool aid.
  11. They knew what these guys cost. If they changed their mind since they said they would be aggressive, they should be honest that they changed their minds because the do not believe chances for this 2012 team are not good and would not justify the cost. They are not saying that. They are still telling us that they think they have a competitive team, and they are just blaming the cost. The cost was known weeks ago. They are just truth challenged. They will not admit publicly what they already know-- that the team has no chance. If they stopped the charade, they could get started with rebuilding by shipping guys out.
  12. We don't belong on the same fiel with any of the top teams. We have embarrassed themselves since the end of August 2011. There will be no meaningful games in August. Back up the truck and unload whatever garbage you can unload. Dump them all. Send a message and shake it all up. Get rid of LL and the boob side-kick. Clean this house. The Hot Stove season will be the next time that baseball will be interesting for Red Sox fans. f*** the FO for ruining the Summer.
  13. Time to watch the Olympics.
  14. We can't roll garbage like this to the mound and expect to win. The guy sucks.
  15. I am not sure, but I remember Eck giving up 5 solo HRs to the Yanks for the Red Sox but winning the game 6-5. Wake did something like that too.
  16. And he has been hitting everything very hard-- very few quiet outs.
  17. They look like the keystone cops around the middle of the infield all too often.
  18. Greinke is not under control. He's a 2 month rental. As far as I can see, the Angels gave up 1 top 100 prospect Segura at #46. The reason I laugh at the Red Sox pattern of excuses is that it is just so ridiculous. I don't dispute what these acquisitions cost. What I laugh at is the whole disingenuous public relations BS. They make all these statements for weeks about looking to add pitching and being aggressive, but as you get closer to the deadline, they whine about the cost being too high. I don't for a minute believe that they didn't know 2-3 weeks ago our FO didn't know what these guys would cost with very close approximation. If they didn't, then they are a bigger bunch of dopes than even I had imagined. The feigned surprise at the cost is amusing to me. Who the hell are they kidding? The aggressively pursue talk etc. is just to keep the fans interested for a few more weeks, and then they whine that they tried their best, but the cost was just too high. Now, don't get me wrong again as you so often do. I am not saying that the cost is or isn't too high. I am just saying that they pretty much knew the cost for all these guys 2-3 weeks ago. The posturing about being buyers is just that--posturing.
  19. And the FO excuses begin. Cue the planted stories about the unreasonable prices demanded by other clubs and our steadfast refusal to mortgage the future. Same story. Different season.
  20. Jist some hyperbole. I get it. I engage in it myself from time to time.
