  1. No. As usual you don't have it correct.
  2. I made 3 posts expressing 2 completely different thoughts about the WBC, but you made 5 posts telling me to shut up in various ways. You might want to consider the possibility that it is you who should give it a rest.
  3. You must be special. How many times do I have to say wait the 12 days before bringing him up?
  4. Seriously, you constantly try to silence those with whom you disagree. You should volunteer to go burn books at your public library.
  5. Keep your vendettas rolling. It is what you do best.
  6. If you read my post, I said to wait the 12 days before bringing him up. He is better than Sweeney or Nava wearing an eye patch. i guess that you have not read your posts responding to me. You have consistently been a douche. I don't take that from people with clearly inferior intellect -- unless they are "special" , in which case I would let it slide. Are you "special"?
  7. True. His first WBC helped get him his MLB contract, but his second WBC ruined his career.
  8. If he can't hack it, they can send him back for more seasoning. Wait the 12 days and bring him up if he is doing well. Nava and Sweeney are a very low bar. I don't admire anything about you.
  9. I'll keep expressing it, so if you already "get it", skip over my post in this thread. BTW, it was two wholly different opinions: one about the injury possibility to MLB players and the other about how the teams are formed. Pardon me if it took me a whole 3 posts to express those two thoughts. The next time I will consult you about how to be more succinct.
  10. And I am not telling you not to enjoy or to not say that you enjoy it. I think you should afford me the opportunity to express my opinion.
  11. I have some Russian blood. My grandfather's ship manifest says that he arrived in 1910 from Bellarus. Should I play for the Russian team. Neither me nor my family has had any connection with that country for over 100 years, except I have dined at the Russian Tea Room once. That should qualify me to manage them if they had a team. Maybe I can coach their Hockey team.
  12. The ballparks look empty when I have tuned in. I hate the tournament, because Selig is pimping MLB players for reasons that i don't believe benefit the US fan. Too many pitchers have fouled themselves up in this tournament for nothing. It ruined Dice K's career IMO.
  13. Enjoy! Have a slice of pizza and root for Italy. If you were a man, eating the pizza would make you eligible to be the manager.
  14. He is not raw at all. His game is very refined. He has plate discipline that Wily mo couldn't dream of. IMO, he has better plate discipline than Ells.
  15. Seriously, you are comparing Bradley to Wily Mo who was complete project? Terrible terrible analogy. Bradley can contribute with his glove, arm and speed even if he doesn't hit initially. Wily Mo was a train wreck in every aspect except for HR distance. Tito was afraid to put him out their because he played every ball like it was a hand grenade. Inconsistent playing time was not Wily Mo's problem.
  16. Interesting. Good information, SFF.
  17. ABs got split by Nava, Sweeney, and Pods because a) all 3 suck and they had their own injury issues. They combined for 670 ABs -- a competent talented 4th OFer could easily have taken 300 - 400 ABs.
  18. The whole WBC is ridiculous. How many guys on the Italian team were born in Italy or have played for the Italian league? I asked my brother what Piazza's connection with Italy was beyond his heritage. He was born and raised in the USA in PA I think. My brother's answer was that he ate a slice of pizza.
  19. I can't remember the last time that our 4th OFer would not get at least 300 - 400 ABs. Gomes is a platoon type player, plus Victorino is much better from the right side of the plate than the left side.
  20. As our 4th OFer, he'll get 300- 400 ABs. Every year we have plenty of playing time for our 4th OFer. 300-400 ABs at the MLB level is a nice way to break in without too much pressure on his shoulders.
  21. I would be handing him the 4th outfielder/platoon spot, not a full time starting position. If he shits himself, there are 3 other outfielder ahead of him. That is completely consistent with my philosophy regarding prospects. You can never remember my positions or arguments correctly, so you should probably stop trying, and instead, you should concentrate your efforts on your own ideas and thoughts which could use some work.
  22. If that is the rule and it is only 9 games, wait it out to save the year, but tell him not to unpack at Pawtucket. Please stop with smug ******** if you know how to do that.
  23. Bradley is far better already than either Sweeney or Nava. Screw the clock. He deserves to come North with the team.
  24. I agree. I think he is a premier talent. He has all the tools except a strong arm. He is far better than Bourn. Ells has had a few bad freak injuries that are not chronic conditions, so he is no bigger a health risk than anyone else. If he has a big season, it will confirm his status as a star player. A core of Ells, Pedroia, Middlebrooks and Bradley should produce a dynamic offense for several seasons.
  25. And I thought you had me on ignore. What can I say, I am a must read. I realize that you didn't mention me by name in your post, but you did make a broad generalization about your perception of knee jerk reactions that I wanted to refute on my behalf since you mentioned no names. I have no idea who you were referring to with your perception. I don't think anyone said that De La Rosa was great and then flip flopped to say he stinks. As for your comment about me being out of touch for "thinking" that "someone who pitched 13 IP was going to earn a rotation spot," I didn't say that I thought he would earn a rotation spot. I said that based on the high opinion others had held of De La Rosa that i had hoped he would dominate and impress and earn a spot. Hope is not an expectation. I realized that it was highly unlikely. What was daft was your reading ability.
