    I will play by rules if we have them. Frankly, I think you over-reacted on this one, because I couldn't name the specific posters that disagree with me on the issue of the Jays being a factor in the division. It really hasn't been a big topic for nasty disagreement. So there.

    I think that you may have the sequence of events wrong. You saw what Iortiz and I did to improve our teams and you wrote about it. If you wrote about it first, you would have Dominic Brown in this league.

    It only matters where we finish. I am very happy that we have a competitive team with some fight in it. However, I will never be a cheerleader for the FO. If they bring us to the promised land, i will be happy to tip my cap to them, but FO guys (yes guys because the old boys club has no women) is just a bunch of overpaid dunces that can't count without using their fingers. That is true of all teams and all sports. With few exceptions, they are a bunch of dolts that couldn't run a profitable candy store in Brooklyn.

    Dickey threw a complete game 2 hit shutout against the Rays this afternnon. Edit: And Reyes is back in their lineup just in time to face us.

    Kyle Kendrick had another QS last night-- 8 innings, 2 runs, 2 BB, 6k's. That's his 12 th QS- not bad for a bum. The major league lead in QS is 14. Speaking of waiver wire pickups, Dominic Brown wasn't a bad waiver wire pick up.

    First of all, Cashman's behavior has been pretty mild when compared to the departed Boss and the inhabitants of the old Bronx Zoo. He's like Casper Milktoast compared to what the Steinbrenner boys are used to.

    I looked at Uehara's stats when I looked back at your post. I knew that he had been a successful bullpen guy, but I mistakenly thought he had trouble in the closer's role. He had one season where he had 13 saves and he did pretty well. He's probably our best bet interanlly, but the biggest question mark he would carry is the ability to pitch back to back days and carry a heavy load.

    It's not a good thing for us that the Yankees will have ARod, Jeter and Granderson back for the second half. They have managed to stay just a few games back without those guys. Jeter will give the team a huge lift, and 50% of the old ARod is better than Nix. At least Tex will probably be gone for the second half.

    I didn't understand that you were comparing Iglesias this season to Middlebrooks last season. I was confused by how you began that post by saying "in fairness." Who should we be fair to?
