Yep, Red Sox fans hope for Uehara to save every game he pitches in. That's what fans of their team do, but you and I know that that doesn't equate to rooting against a former Sox hero, unless he is pitching against us. Are we wrong about that?

I am just pointing out that no one has bumped a papelbon thread since April 6th and we have been through 2 closers this year before settling on Koji, who is doing great. The other two guys s*** the bed pretty hard. Add their 7 Blown Saves to the stats and the comparison doesn't look so good. Papelbon's fans have moved on. The haters have not.

DO you think that Koji knows that he is the instrument of Sox fans who hate Papelbon? I had no idea that Koji and Papelbon were competing with each other. Such hate for a player that helped bring us championship. Bizarre. Really bizarre.

I can hardly wait until Dempster goes to the bullpen. The guy will be at 60 pitches after 3 and our pen is totally gassed from last night. I realize that win-losses don't mean much, but he is our only starter with less than a .500 record. Is his run support that bad? IMO, he's one of those guys that pitches just well enough to lose.
