damnit Vtek, why do you always insist on swinging at the first pitch, especially in that situation, just coming off the bench to hit with the bases loaded
with the Sox luck, Cora's going to get on, then Ortiz is going to get another 450 ft single of the speaker, then Manny hits a line shot right at the 3rd baseman who turns a 5-2-3 DP.
this is a joke, Silva's era coming in to the game was 7.73
now its down to 7.07
Silva hs made 10 starts this year, and in all but 1 of them, he has let up atleast 5 runs.
Untill tonight when he looks like Cy Young
kind of off-topic, but i was looking up stats on Lester on baseballcube.com, and they say Lester is the 11th most looked up player on their website. Thought that was kinda interesting.
Papelbon is ranked 73rd
Armas could be a steal. He's has a decent K/BB ratio (1.90) and a solid whip (1.33). He's only let up 6 HR on the year and has never finished a season with an ERA above 5 (this year its at 4.18).
The good thing about Ortiz is that he's had success in the AL and is a groundball pitcher. And he's only let up 26 BB this year, and has 45 K's.
id rather Gonzo in the 2 spot over Cora, the way he's hitting the ball now. But ya obviuosly Youk and Coco should be in the first 2 spots of the order tonight
Cora is 4/12 against Silva
Coco is 4/13 against him
Gonzo is 3/7 against him
