    Agree with almost everyone on this. Hansen and Van Buren sucking (which we dont know if they would untill they are up for more than 2 weeks), is more tolerable to watch than Tavarez and Seanez throwing beach balls. Take out that game in NY and Van Buren's era was 1.23. Hansen hasn't got a chance really this year in the majors. I hope Delcarmen plays a bigger role for the team moving forward. Since May, Delcarmens ERA has been 3.60 and the 2 runs were because of Tavarez letting up a HR against Detroit

    PawSox outfielder David Murphy has been selected as the International League’s Player of the Week for June 5-11. In seven games last week, he batted .400 (10-for-25) with three doubles, two triples, two homers and eight RBIs. Murphy has a .339 average with three homers and 13 RBIs in 16 games with Pawtucket since his promotion from Portland.

    Abe Alvarez is a AAAA pitcher and will most likely never be a sucessfull starter in the pros. Im not saying Foulke should start right away, but he isn't an effective reliever anymore and could possibly be used as a spot starter/long reliever. He needs to go on the DL and fix whatevers wrong with him, then my suggestion was is that he work on his other, lesser thrown pitches (slider, splitter) and maybe fill in as a 5th starter for a while or something. If he has a couple rehab starts in AAA, and gets healthy again, he could seriously be a solid #5 starter. His WHIP isn't bad this year (1.22) and he has the ability to go 5, 6, or possibly 7 innings if needed. Just a suggestion, since he really has no other options left.

    what ever happened to Brooks Kieschnick? He was a decent reliever who hit like .290.

    McCarty did pitch well last year, im surprised he never got more of a shot to pitch. he threw 3.2 inning, giving up 2 hits, 1 ER, 1 BB and 4 K last year

    id put Foulke on the 15 day DL, and during his rehab, have him start a few games and see how he does. I think he has the ability and stamina to be a starter, but he lacks 3 good pitches. If he can get his slider or splitter to work better, he could possibly be an adequate 5th starter
