  1. ill throw some names out there that he could have possibly been referring to for fun... Sidney Ponson B.J. Ryan Edgar Martinez Bernie Williams these are some of Grimsley's close friends
  2. Nice to know that the Sox have a closer who doesnt let up runs But seriously, how do you a blow a save against the Nats
  3. i missed the game since i had my own game to play. anyone wanna give a quick summary. It looks like Beckett pitched well, and the pullpen to, except for Tavarez again. hahaha, looking at the box score, noticed that Beckett's hitting .429
  4. Pitchers: Jeff Weaver, Rodrigo Lopez, Bruce Chen, John Thomson, Jason Johnson, Kyle Lohse(could be a steal), Victor Santos, Kip Wells, Oliver Perez, Odalis Perez, Glendon Rusch, Ramon Ortiz, Jeremy Affeldt, Elmer Dessens, Roberto Hernandez, Salomon Torres, Damaso Marte, Chris Reitsma, Rudy Seanez, Joe Borowski guys in bold are the only ones who are somewhat decent
  5. Any news on any more signings? Hopefully we can get Laporta signed.
  6. Because the fans are allowed to vote and he will be in it, just not starting
  7. Lowells f***ing nasty!! what a catch
  8. Ill take it. I just dont like hes attitude and the way he plays. Id rather see Choi up, since hed give us more power depth on the bench.
  9. Kinda random, but JT Snow has to go. He has done nothing at the plate and hasn't contributed much in the field. Trade him for a decent low-level prospect or really i dont care what we get for him, just get rid of him.
  10. Nice to have Timlin back, very underrated IMO.
  11. A-rod's is having the worst year of his career so far. A .275 avg, with 14 HR at this point is well below average for him. His slg.% is usually around .585, but this year its at .498. And he obviously cant hit in the clutch to save his life. Not saying he sucks, just saying he's struggling this year
  12. thats probably good news for Yankees fans. That would be like Tavarez getting hurt for us.
  13. , atleast they admit it
  14. thank go we can do this again... 8th--Timlin 9th--Paps no one seemed to be able an fill in for Timlin when he went on the DL
  15. the Braves bullpen is a joke
  16. In his first start, yes. Its against the Nats so he should pitch well.
  17. Is Terry Francona have a memory loss problem? Did he forget what Tavarez has done all year and forget that there are other options beyond Seanez and Tavarez.
  18. How cant you be impressed with him? His fastball was hitting 91-93 consistently and his slider and curve had real good break tonight. And for the most part, he had good control. Its scary that we have 4 potential #1 starters on our team (Schill, Beckett, Lester, Papelbon) and all 3 are under 26
  19. Mulder is a ground-ball pitcher who this year has given up more HR and more Hits than usual. If he can return to his 2003 form when he was in the AL with Oakland, he is a dominating pitcher.
  20. http://static.redjupiter.com/images/kerndems/dohhomer.gif id rather see Delcarmen, but i guess Seanez isnt the worst option. (ya im looking at you Tavarez)
  21. Lester has unbelievable stuff, he just needs to work on controling it, which isn't that bad to start with.
  22. Lester comes back with a solid inning Lester starts the 7th inning with a pitch count at 93??
  23. only 34 pitches for Lester through 3 innings 24 for strikes
