  1. Schill needs to put a fastball through his earhole today
  2. and you know the guys pitching these next two games aren't afraid to throw it up and in
  3. if Hinske was a gold-glove OF, then maybe id agree with that. But Hinske is an average at best OF who cant hit for s***. Id go with WMP or give Moss a shot.
  4. f*** Hinske, guy is lucky enough to be on a MLB roster. WMP has been playing well ever since that April 26th game against Baltimore. Since then he's been hitting over .300 and only has 9 K's to 4 BB's. Id much rather give Moss a shot over Hinske though. Either way, Willy Mo should get about 75% of the playing time since April 15th, Hinske is hitting .106 (5/47) with 5 BB and 14 K's
  5. got injured once agian tonight (hamstring) and is just having a miserable year .225 avg .346 obp .316 slg---you can not have these numbers from your #5 hitter i personally wouldnt mind losing Drew to a 15 day DL stint, and hopefully he can fix things and come back strong. He atleast needs a mental D.L. trip cause somethings wrong if he only could hit .170 in the month of May. id like to see him go on the D.L. and have them calling up Brandon Moss he's having a pretty good year in AAA hitting .291 with an OBP of .393 and slg% of .525 have him and Willy Mo, who we all know is full of potential and has shown it in glimpses, split time in RF for the time being. I think Willy Mo will develop into a great MLB hitter, its just a matter of time and unfortunately we dont no when that time is. But playing time will definitely help. 1. Lugo 2. Pedroia 3. Ortiz 4. Manny 5. Youk 6. Lowell 7. Varitek 8. WMP/Moss 9. Crisp id like to see how that lineup worked out
  6. put Drew on the D.L and bring up Moss and let him and Willy Mo play RF im pretty sure were better off with those 2 playing than how Drew's been playing
  7. so how bads Drews injury looking? I didnt see it, just saw the report on rotoworld:
  8. id like to see Theo go all-in and get the pieces to win it all this year. 1. some package of MDC, Piniero, Breslow/Lopez, Moss/Murphy for Rowand 2. Bowden, Crisp, Masterson/K. Johnson, maybe another prospect (Moss/Murphy/Lowrie) for Buehrle 3. WMP and maybe a low-level prospect for Linebrink 4. pick-up Hillenbrand for a low ranking prospect to replace Willy Mo as the right handed bat on the bench. i dont see who else is available to fill the role. Lineup 1. Youk—1B 2. Pedroia—2B 3. Ortiz—DH 4. Manny—LF 5. Drew—RF 6. Lowell—3B 7. Varitek—C 8. Rowand—CF 9. Lugo—SS Bench Hinske Cora Mirabelli Hillenbrand Rotation 1. Schilling 2. Beckett 3. Matsuzaka 4. Buehrle 5. Wakefield Bullpen LR—Snyder LOOGY—Lopez/Romero/Breslow MRP—Timlin MRP—Donnelly SU—Okajima SU— Linebrink CL—Papelbon almost guranteed world series as long as people stay healthy.
  9. its almost painful to watch Lugo's at-bats
  10. thats why i brought crisp into it and just added Bowden since Crisp has been struggling in Boston. My offer would probably come up short but i think its a decent start. And they currently have Luis Terrero as there starting CF so i think that be something they'd look into
  11. out for the year http://www.nypost.com/seven/06012007/sports/yankees/chasin__with_no_jason_yankees__george_king.htm
  12. rowand always goes balls out after balls and is the "dirt dog" player we all love in boston. he is a great 8 hitter in the lineup who can actually hit, unlike our CF right now. He also has some pop and has a better arm than Crisp
  13. trade MDC, Piniero and Breslow/Lopez for Rowand rowand seems like the perfect fit as a Red Sox. He'll do anything for his team and guys all out every play. He'd be loved in Boston, especially if he keeps hitting like he has this year. move Crisp to Chicago along with Bowden and a solid prospect (Lowrie, Johnson, Masterson) for Buehrle Lugo Youk Ortiz Manny Drew Lowell Varitek Rowand Pedroia Schilling Beckett Matsuzaka Buehrle Wakefield rotation cant get much better than that and once Lugo and Drew start hitting better, which Drew will, not sure about Lugo, but that could be one of the most dangerous lineups in baseball
  14. Id look into getting guys like: SP(if Tavarez shits the bed and Lester isnt ready to come back) Buehrle (3.66 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, 1.21 GO/AO, 3.29 K/BB) Joe Kennedy (3.62 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, 1.69 GO/AO, .91 K/BB) livan hernandez (3.58 ERA, 1.47 WHIP, 1.13 GO/AO, 1.06 K/BB) many other options will probably be available by the deadline CF(Crisp sucks and has proven he can't play in this city) Rowand (.321, .393 .500, 3 SB, 7 HR) Byrnes (.306, .366, .519, 9 SB, 8 HR) Hunter (.318, .359, ..578, 9 SB, 11 HR) RP(can never have enough bullpen depth, especially if Timlin cant come back strong) Linebrink (2.19 ERA, .89 WHIP, 1.27 GO/AO, 2.55 K/BB) Gordon?? (injured all year but has a good track record) bunch of little pickups available to at the deadline im sure but for now i cant really think of any more big name relievers available the rest of the roster should stay set, the only other move i could see happening is getting a RH bat (return of Shea maybe??) for the bench if we use Willy Mo in a deal
  15. mark loretta isnt good enough to be on this roster right now. maybe if cora or pedroia get hurt, but other than that he would have no spot on the MLB roster. Just no need really.
  16. id trade Jacoby but i dont think Crisp is the long-term answer in CF. If we planned on signing Hunter in the offseason, then this trade would be awsome. Jacoby, Kris Johnson for Salty ?? Crisp and Bowden for him would be much better though, but don't know if ATL think thats enough
  17. Bill Simmons thoughts for a Kobe to Boston trade ESPN.com - NBA - Trade Machine Results Theo Ratliff Al Jefferson Gerald Green No. 5 pick rights to Minny's future No. 1 for Kobe i honestly think, from a Lakers point of view, thats probably the best deal they can get without moving him to a western contender. The lakers rebuild if they trade Kobe and having Al, Gerald, Bynum, Farmar, Odom, Walton, Kwame, Smush, Vujacic and Turiaf, 5th pick and 19th pick would be a good start and you know Ainge is going try to come up with a deal as he seems to always go after the big time players who want out (ex. AI, Gasol) I think Kobe would give up a no-trade for this deal. Him playing with Pierce could be like a new version of Pippen and Jordan somewhat. Trade Wally for a big-guy (Wally and Pinkney to TORONTO for Garbajosa and Nesterovich) and the C's would have: West Kobe Pierce Gomes Nesterovich Bench Rondo Allen Garbajosa Perkins Ray Scal 2nd round pick (Demetris Nichols??) that team wins the division
  18. Pedroia Youk Ortiz Manny Drew Lowell V-tek Cora Crisp (for now)
  19. i think if Kobe goes anywhere the celtics would be a solid trade partner
  20. i was hearing some rumors saying it was between citrus and mint
  21. Youk is on f***ing FIREEEEE. he should be starting the all-star game at first Boston 35 15 .700 - - Baltimore 24 27 .471 11.5 Toronto 23 27 .460 12.0 Tampa Bay 21 28 .429 13.5 New York 21 28 .429 13.5
  22. his control is better than his last start, but he's leaving alot of pitches up in the zone and has been hit hard
  23. 1, 2, 3 first for Roger
  24. if anyone is looking for something to do, you can watch Clemens start for AAA on MLB.com for free
