  1. Well whoopty do. You are capable of coming out with a gem. Absolutely. A man who strikes his wife is as low down a person as can be created.
  2. Moose, if you had a clue or were a fan of the Red Sox you wouldn't come out with such a ridiculous post as that. History as shown the Dodger move to Los Angeles to have been a great one, but at the time I was disappointed they left. It doesn't bother me anymore, not a twit. In fact, since I live in the LA area I will probably get a mini-season ticket package to see a few games. One more important thing than that, and never forget what I'm telling you for a second. When you root for the Red Sox you have the best of everything. We have the best fans, the best baseball city in the country, a most fabled of all ballparks, a rich history of success and failure, and an enduring love for a team that becomes part of our very being. You could never understand that because you don't root for the Red Sox but ask any Red Sox fan on this board and you will get the same answer. Now you ought to feel better because Jason Schmidt signed with the Dodgers so count your blessings.
  3. Jackson, there have been a few pukes like that who have come on this board to troll and insult. They are losers to the core, know nothing even about their team and have some of the filthiest minds around. I used to wonder why I despised the Dodgers so much in the past. Those creeps are as good an answer as anything.
  4. The guy comes from a website called Dodger Blues where they spend most of their time hurling insults at each other and poking fun at different groups of people. What is amazing is that they know so little about their own team; in fact, they know practically nothing at all. I'd bet if you asked him to name his starting lineup last year he would be hard pressed to do so. He is also probably upset that his team was too dumb to keep good players like Drew and Lugo and Maddux and have watched them go to other teams while they keep their old and tired lot of has-beens.
  5. Listen you bum; you aren't going to get away with crap like that around here. We don't have a pack of racists, gaybashing, anti-Hispanic bigots around here. You will not last long around here and I will tell yezsir to get your rear end off this board just like he got that friend of yours the other day. Get back to Dodger Blues where all the losers like you hang out.
  6. I don't know who you are but you certainly aren't my wife. Get a new handle or get the hell back to your Dodger Blues website where all the racists, gay bashers, and bigots hang out. On second thought, maybe you ought to send me a private message so I can find out who exactly you are. Linda Peritore is a classy lady and the best wife in the world and you shouldn't be using her name as your handle.
  7. Thanks Moose. Still doesn't sound like the answer to a Baron's dream.
  8. This is getting to be f***ing hilarious. First of all there is no Annie Peritore. My daughter's name is Christine Lynn Monson, a happily married woman of 27 with a great husband and beautiful little daughter. She also is an Angels fan and hates the fact that I root for the Red Sox and and fears I will brainwash my grandaughter into doing the same. There is some computer geek who knows his stuff and has put s*** like this out. Pay NO mind to him at all. I told some people that I would be following the Dodgers in the NL for the first time since they left Brooklyn and they thought I was a bandwagon jumper. s***, I can't follow another team as long as they don't interfere with my love of the Red Sox. Again, pay no mind to them. I'm getting to the point that I will just have to despise all teams except the Red Sox. Now, put this out of your mind. It is all a crock of s*** put out by some ******* on Dodger Blues, a board with some of the biggest jerks in the world.
  9. Sexson would have to be in any trade with Seattle for Manny. Absolutely. He gives us the tremendous righthanded power we would need, and Drew could give us a 300 hitter hitting in front of Papi. This could work, but who the hell is this Jones kid? Never heard of him. Anyone know anything about him?
  10. Any trade with the Dodgers has GOT to include Andy LaRoche. He is a third baseman with power and we will need one in a year or two. He has about one-half season of AAA ball before he is ready, and we should not be willing to take Wilson Betemit instead because that guy can't play defense worth a damn, is lazy and can't hit lefthand pitching. We need LaRoche, Loney and Beimel. They will not trade Broxton or Kemp.
  11. Jackson, maybe I ought to keep worrying about what our team is going to do instead of keeping an eye out for the Yankees, but for an old war horse that has despised that team for decades and decades I never cease to wonder what they are up to. Throughout most of my life it seems that they always seem to go out and get what they need, like it is preordained. Anyway, I will like it a whole lot better if after these Winter Meetings we know a little more about what our team will look like.
  12. BoNation, I'm in complete agreement with you on both counts. Keeping A-Rod in New York is an exercise in futility. He will never win over the New York fans, the press or even many of his teammates. Hell, even Jason Giambroids called him out last summer. However, if I were Cashman and the right deal came along I would help put A-Rod on the Amtrack out of town and give him a personal escort while about it.
  13. Well for one thing ORS the White Sox pitching wasn't worth a s*** this past season if we want to compare it the 2005 version, but I don't necessarily disagree with you on Manny's loss except if he become the AL's Barry Bonds and is walked all over the place. Manny's departure means Wily Mo Pena gets left field and I not only don't have much confidence in his fielding acumen but I think he is very easy to pitch to and not very good against a tough pitcher. I just believe Theo ought to back off and keep Manny around because it would make us stronger if we can add the extra parts like Lugo, Drew and Matsuzaka to make us a better outfit than we were this past seaon. A closer then becomes our last need.
  14. Just reported what I heard Cowchips say. Funny thing was I was listening with no feeling when all of a sudden I realized that he was talking about my team and it got my attention real quick. Look, nothing wrong with a LTP but it means not only hitching our wagon to guys like Beckett and Matsuzaka, but making sure that when our good young players are ready we get them in the lineup on OUR team, not someone elses. We finally got Youk in there this year, hopefully Pedroia comes through as I think he can next season, and Jacoby Ellsbury ready to step in the following year unless he really explodes in Triple A next season. Now if we can only talk Theo out of trading Manny we might have a chance to go for a title next year. Without him, sorry, no soap. Or do you think differently?
  15. I think all of us should be hoping, praying and giving out positive vibes that Jon Lester gets well first. That is priority No. 1. What a story it would be, though, if he suddenly got better as the spring entered into the summer, he got a rehab assignment, and came to the Red Sox in the heat of a pennant race and help lead us into the World Series? That would be quite a story. Get well Jon, that comes before anything else. :D :D :D
  16. :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown Jackson, if the Dodgers offer those two arbitration it will show Colletti for what he is, a money grubbing second rater who I once had a lot of respect for. He has to know those two want no part of his team any more and wouldn't return for the moon. All it will do is tell the Red Sox and the rest of baseball what a fourflusher the guy is and will sour his future dealings with a lot of teams. He should count his losses and move on. And if they offer arbitration and still want Manny we tell him to take a flying leap.:thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown
