  1. The why add Jermaine Dye's name in there? Look at that White Sox lineup, you think they'd have any trouble scoring runs without Dye?
  2. How is it possible for a guy to only have a pitch count of 85 and give up 9 hits by the 7th inning? wow
  3. If the Sox make the playoffs, Ortiz has to win the MVP. His numbers are that good. Jeter would be the #2 guy IMO.
  4. So who's more valuable to the team? Tek or Ortiz?
  5. But you just said that Tek would have been the difference maker in that series :dunno:
  6. Then technically wouldn't Tek be more valuable than Ortiz?
  7. Do you mean the same Damon whos had an assortment of injuries all year? I can't help it if he's tougher than other players who have to take a breather just because they're so tired from being pissed at the official scorer. Look we had Aaron Guiel, Bubba Crosby and Melky Cabrera as our outfield at one point with Andy Philips and Miguel Cairo in the infield. I'm sure that would be a wash with the craptastic lineup you got right now because of your injuries. The injury thing doesn't even matter anyway. The only main guy you were missing was Varitek during the sweep. Both teams were at relatively full strength and your team got shut down pure and simple.
  8. yeah but look at how the team did when the Red Sox were at relatively full strength.
  9. i wonder how this would affect his mvp chances if he's held out for a while because of this.
  10. That's cuz Schilling is you know, good.
  11. They coulda traded him to the Jets probbaly for someone like Victor Hobson.
  12. So yeah lets pass up on the Heisman Winner who everyone agrees was the best player in the draft since you know we already have a good RB in Domanick Davis. http://chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/4147469.html
  13. Who was the last NL pitcher to make the switch to the AL and maintain his numbers?
  14. The guy just doesn't want to earn his money. Pathetic.
  15. I say put him in there during the Boston series and force him to go 9 innings even if gives up 30 runs. Make the guy's arm fall off if needed. I'd gladly lose one game in the standings to punish this heartless twerp. whew...ok maybe not, I like winning too much, but damn that's tempting.
  16. the plus side of this is I'll never have to worry about something like this happening to ARod, he's got no heart.
  17. The NHL is the NHL because of its own fault. a sport thats basically targeted for white people can succeed, just look at Nascar. It all depends on how you market things.
  18. I was bored so I did a little digging. I'd try to find the Josh Beckett trade thread, but I think that would be overkill.
  19. We outscored you 49-25 or somthing like that and you make a statement like this?
  20. Mets, Red Sox, Yankees = Eighties Evil Preppy Villain, James Spader World Series = Molly Ringwald everyone else = Anthony Michael Hall The rich guys always are in the hunt when it comes to scoring a date for the prom because their money always keeps them at a certain status. But the main prize always winds up going with the nice guy, whether he's rich or not. Ok maybe I've been waching too much Pretty in Pink
  21. yeah, I remember. my reply was meant for the Canuck who was complaining.
  22. 1-4 with 3 k's so far. It's amazing, his bat never leaves his shoulder on pitches down the pipe.
  23. Yes Blame the Sox and Yankees and ignore the fact that your manager is out there trying to have fistfights with his players. Think that could be a possible reason for the attendance slump?
  24. There's no way this site is ruder than SoSH. BTW, the guy you're haveing a one-on-one with joined AFTER you did.
  25. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2560579 Hopefully it's nothing serious. Never a good thing when you have to stay overnight at a hospital for something related to your heart.
